Hi Jan,

I did not have the bypass, but had a newer, much less invasive surgery called a

vertical sleeve

gastrectomy in July. I can't say that it has much helped the FM pain, and it

actually has been

worse lately, but the weight loss has made it much easier to get around--I can

do more now

that I don't have to lug around a whole other person, so now my body only has to

work

against the FM, not the extra weight, too.
