I have been taking vicodin and I called my doctor for a refill but one of the other doctors, I don't know, sent in a prescription for tramadol. After reading the information about it, I'm a little worried about taking it because of the caution about taking it with antidepressants. I already take prozac, wellbutrin for depression and I also take maxalt for headaches. I don't see how this is a better medication considering all the warnings about seratonin syndrome if taken with antidepressants and triptans. Is this supposed to be less addictive or something? It seems like it has some pretty strong side effects and warning for addiction, according to what I've read. I'm wondering if it's " addictive " because it also affects the seratonin.
