Guest guest
Think about it though Debra, you and I are both the sole support for our family, we are basically doing the " males " job of the family and carrying our small corner of the world entirely on our shoulders. Having to be the sole support of me and my kids for the past 10 years has definatley made me more understanding of men who support their family. When I was married and we both worked I never experienced a feeling of being trapped in a job or the fear of what would happen if something happened to me and I couldn't work or I lost my job for an extended period of time. Being a single parent, I had been able to get a glimpse of what most men probably have to deal with a lot more and the different pressures it puts on you. lisa n. > > From: Loest > Subject: Re: A New Man! > To: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group > Date: Saturday, April 19, 2008, 11:21 AM > > > > > > > <---Is one of the men in the group, numbers wise Fibromyalgia does > have a higher number of women but like other syndromes does not > discriminate regarding gender, age, or ethnic origin. > > Men tend to make up about 5-10% of Fibromyalgia suffers. > > Real numbers are inaccurate since men are taught to, " Take it like a > man " and end up not seeking medical attention. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > _____________________________________________________________________ _______________ > Be a better friend, newshound, and > know-it-all with Yahoo!
