Guest guest Posted April 15, 2008 Report Share Posted April 15, 2008 Just thought I would take a minute to drop in say hello and let everyone know that I finished the infernal revenue and state taxes today. Last week I thought we were going to have to hit some of my rainy day money, but after numerous calls to a few people who should have been able to answer my questions, I eventually spoken to my original contact at the company --- and I was ready to start shouting -- the feds owe us and we owe the state --- about a wash -- but with the rebate we will recoup the small (to me) payment to the lovely state of Pennsyfinngvania!!! And now that it is a new day, we only have 15 days and two months until my husband's RETIREMENT!! I am in pain, my eyes are burning, my fingers are cramping and I had one very long nap once I finished e-filing those taxes!!! So, now, I am once again returning to bed. Will take 1/2 of a percocet, not a whole one as I did yesterday or Sunday! That one really had me as close as I think one would feel if they were " stoned " on illegal drugs. Hopefully, tomorrow, I may have recovered from this off and on ordeal since those tax papers started arriving. Now I will have to locate everything I have had out and put it all back in the correct files so we can find info next year! Good night, God bless you all! Just to think of state taxes... when I lived in Oklahoma we had to file state taxes and it seems every year everyone owed the state no matter how much they put in. TEXAS does not file state taxes. YAAAAYYYYY!! I don't have to mess with that crap. Usually in Oklahoma what the feds gave back, the state of Oklahoma taketh away.
