Guest guest
Hello. My name is Marci and I just found this group. I would love to talk to other people who have this disease. I am 36 years old and have been diagnosed for about 3 years. I know they say it doesn't progress, but I swear mine has. I can say I was lucky that the rheumatologist diagnosed it the first visit I had there. I had no idea what it was. To begin with, my PCP said Lupus, then possibly MS, then sero negative arthritis. The rheumatologist got it on the first try. After reading about it, I cried because if it was Lupus, I had a chance at remission. So, I didn't want to agree that I had it. Now, I'm no longer thinking it's something else, just wishing. So, I have a great job. I love the work I do. Only problem, the big project I'm working on now (ends in a month) has caused a flare up. One of the questions I have is the " fog " . I'm an IT Manager and am in charge of putting in a new computer system for the US. I keep forgetting things I'm supposed to do! That's a big issue. I am so scared I will lose my job because I forget how to do it. Anyone else feel this way? Also, if I do lose my job, I have 2 kids to support. And the pain since the flare up (I've been flared up for 2 months now) is terrible. It hurts to breath. But if I take all the prescribed meds, the pain is much better, but my brain is so fuzzy, I can't do my work. I'm at a loss as to what to do: Live in this much pain but keep my job or fix the pain and lose the job. Sorry for rambling. Happy to belong to this group, Marci
