Hi Allan, I'm Marti and I am 59 and divorced, with 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. Welcome to the group. There have been men in the group on and off, but you are welcome whether they are participating right now or not. This is a group that offers a lot of support and can always use another person who offers support and needs it. There is a man named and another named that I can think of right now. We can always use your sense of humor too. I'm sorry about your wreck. and sorry you may have fibromyalgia and about your back problems. We all have stories here and would be interested in yours. I hope you have understanding people in your life who care about what you are going through. Just jump in anytime. Marti " At A Later Date. " wrote: That would be me. I will make this first message rather short. I am 51 married, live in Gainesville, Ga. . After a single driver wreck two months ago which I guess caused my " condition " to re-surface I got a prescription for Elaivil today ( BP was high he changed my medication). Anyway There is a whole lot of " back-story " ( get it!!) . I know the disease is considered a woman's condition.. but I know men must suffer from this as well.. I was wondering if there were men that were a part of this group?? Could do a member search but one of the things that causes a lot of pain is sitting at the computer. I read with compassion the posts on this site and at times count my blessings that I could be in much worse condition ( though when I tally up all the " nasties " in my life,( which I do pretty much constantly) I am in a ... and what was I going to say ?? Sorry just saying hello and will hopefully have something to contribute. Be well one and all.
