Guest guest
Darlene - I try to wear blinders in my house. I don't have the energy yet to do any cleaning, my kids and hubby mostly don't care if we live in clutter and dirt. I get too depressed if I take the blinders off and actually see the mess. Maybe you gals who are overdoing it should give it a try. LOL! My daughter's long-distance BF might be visiting here in a couple weeks. It will be interesting to see if she cleans before he comes, and what his reaction to our messy house is. She has never been face to face with this BF. It's just been over the phone and internet. Will keep you posted. Jeanne in WI You know what it is, don't you? It's because we feel guilty when our major accomplishment for the day was to take the kids to school and back, or make a pot of coffee or shower. So on a day when we wake up and our hands work like they should and our back isn't throbbing and our legs don't feel like jelly or electrified and walking isn't painful, we say " hmm, I'm going to dust the living room. " Well dusting the living room means we have to vacuum the living room and since we have the vacuum out, we go ahead and do all the rooms that have carpet. Well, now our living room and possibly our bedrooms looking good and we look down at the kitchen floor and say " omg, look how filthy that is! " So we pull out the bucket and mop and get to work on the floor that has multiple layers of dirt (or in my case georgia red mud). There! Now our floor is nice and clean. Then we notice that the kitchen hasn't been thoroughly " wiped down " with anything, just got lots of kisses and promises. So we pull everything out on the counters and spray and scrub until everything gleans. We take a break to pee and notice that the shower is filthy and the toilet's ring is 2 " all the way around. We finish with our business and start on the bathroom. The Ring is going to take awhile so we use the stuff with bleach in it. We use our scrubbing bubbles in the shower/tub and take down our shower curtain and toss it into the washing machine so it gets the mold and mildew off.
