Guest guest
Hello- My name is Jill and I live in Nashville, Tn. I was Dx'd with RA in 2005. It came on really suddenly- one day I was fine and the next day I could barely walk. Luckily my pcp was great and knew right away what it was and was able to get me in to a rheumy within 6 months. Now my rheumy says I also have Fibro. I know a lot about RA but know very little about Fibro. I just know that I am always hurting and am tired all the time. And I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. :-) I have a 9 yr old daughter and a 14 yo son. My daughter has said she feels like I don't love her because I can never do anything with her because I hurt. My son understands - but I feel like I am missing out on their whole childhood. My husband is disabled- he has had 10 back surgeries and has been home for 5 years being the housewife. I work full time as a secretary I am currently taking Rituxan infusions every 6 months, Oxycontin and Lortab for pain, Cymbalta, Methotrexate, Amitzia, Prednisone and Ambien. My doctor just started me on Lyrica and Zanaflex for the Fibro.I have started the Zanaflex but am worried about taking the Lyrica. I just lost 50 pounds ( most of it was weight I gained from the prednisone) and am terrified of taking another medicine that will make me gain weight. It sounds really vain- but when I am heavy, it really adds to the depression and I feel good about my self for the first time in a long time. If I lose that- I am afraid this combo of illnesses will make be crash and burn. Anyway- I am looking forward to finding out more about this new problem and maybe making some friends. Thanks!
