I have very mild charge, and 33 years old. going to 34 in july which

I HATE my age. people think I act and look like 20's. I am still

very delayed in horomones that seems to have stopped when I was in

my early teens. I used to take premarin until I was in my 20's they

said to stop taking it as it became bad for the health. I started

taking other pills but it caused many migrain headaches soo much

that I had to stop taking it. I haven't had any headaches except

weather changes or stress.. I am deaf also with cochlear implant

it's great to hear. I can hear almost anything. I got an implant

about 11 years ago. for the last 2 years or so i have been feeling

this thing above my jaw bone same side as implant...jeez. doctor

think it's a small cyst. I also have a sciatic nerve urgh...when I

am sitting for too long the nerve start to act up and have to stand

up. do you guys with charge have personal issues like sciatic

nerve, weight, overeating or night vision?.. i know I asked you this

in the past and doing it again sorry..when I watch something scary.

then at night i see something ccoming at me. years ago some teen

left bikini in the closet at camp and i had my eyes opened looking

at that suit. then it shook and moved toward me like it was coming

at me. It scared me...do you think that's part of charge or my brain

is going nuts. My mother says I repeat things over and over again

like I dont realize i repeat things. or continue talking about the

subject...is that a charge thing or something else. have a good

I had to have a laugh because my daughter does the EXACT same thing. I

think this is very common for people who have CHARGE from what I have read

on the list.

I dont know what to tell you hun, my little one is only 2 so I am

not there yet. BUT I am 30 and people say I look like I am 20 or

younger sometimes so I know how stressful it can be to look so young

and I repeat myself all the time and people have to tell me I told

them already. So try not to stress about it to much, feel lucky that

you look young (at least that is what I am told...LOL)

Im 28 and gonna be 29 in October

I do understand how you feel disliking looking so young. I do have a

few reccomendations if you want. Ask a friend or go on your own, but

honestly from my experience having a friend or family along

helped.... long story for another time lol!

anyways have a friend help you find a makeup and hair salon that will

give you makeup tips that would make you more mature looking. Also

types of clothes can also help. Im always going to be small chested

but different hair styles and makeup can help to make you look older.

For me im happy looking young but I agree it can be a bit of a pain

sometimes. Im thinking I may slowly start to wear a little more makeup

and find a hairstyle that would look more 30 somthing professional

look that is easy to manage.

As for the asking repetitive... im so with you on that one lol.

I am not sure if that is a CHARGE thing. I never had personal issues like that.

Even though I am waking up in the middle of the night to go pee every morning

since the start of April, that is probably a side effect of medicine. I noticed

that now, I am stuck at 115-117 lbs. That's good, cuz I am 17 years old. I think

I can gain more, I need to make sure that I don't skip meals. I do notice I

repeat things, but only cuz it didn't sound right or the other person looks

confused or, in one occasion, hurt and insulted. Other than that, I have been

leading a normal life since middle school, even though I have occasional doctor

appointments throughout the years.

When I was in elementary school, everyone thought I was in kindegarten. All

through middle school, kids babyed me. Even my 8th grade peers. I looked a lot

younger until Junior year. Around there, I started to look my age. Those are my

two cents. It only happened with strangers, never my friends.

Really? You think that is bad? Wow, that is interesting. Then again, I was in

your shoes in elementary and middle school. Freshman year too. I was TINY TINY

TINY. 2 or 3 ft shorter than everybody. Everyone who is my current height, 5ft

3, was a GIANT to me. Everyone thought I was younger than I was. The kids, even

when I was in 6th grade, said I should be in kingengarten. I was so short, I

didn't want to be called that cuz I KNEW I was freakishly short. Sophomore year,

I didn't need to crane my head back SOOOOO far. I was around 4ft and a half by

then. Junior year, an inch shorter than 5 ft. During that time, I was babied cuz

I was looked much younger. Now, I look my age. That is good. VERY good, because

I don't want to get into an argument with the guy in the box office about my age

and miss part of my movie. Also, that made slow dancing with girls in middle

school and all they way to the start of Junior year.....akward. You know why,

right? Cuz I would be looking straight at their breasts. Not good. Now, that

happens with girls who are as tall as basketball players. Lol!

Okay, I thought about it again, and YES. I do repeat myself. When something

troubles me, I talk about it. A lot. And often a lot is what I said yesterday or

whatever. During the winter, I was so upset with senior projects (UGH makes me

GAG when I say it) I took it out on the cold weather. I talked about it over and

over and over again. When it was over, I don't complain about it. It was a bit

cold today and I didnt complain nor find it cold. Yet everyone else said it was

cold. Odd. Oh well. At least I wasn't burning today, lol. Cuz if I get even a

little too hot, those who wants to shake my hand will have second thoughts.

I am going through hormone therapy to start puberty, but it is a slow start.

They want me to finish growing, since my body thinks that 5ft 3 isn't tall

enough. From my Xrays, my doctors (totally like Cuddy and House, lol) got in a

disagreement about how much I have to grow. My back doctor says I have a few

more years left of growing (He is like House. Watch an episode of House and you

will see why lol). My endocrinologist thinks I have a little less ore a little

more than that. I say she is like Cuddy cuz House and Cuddy ALWAYS have

disagreements lol! Really, you gotta watch some of their conversations. Sure,

some are serious, but House says some funny stuff sometimes. Right now, I am on

daily growth hormone shots to get myself to a goal of 5ft something lol. Before,

when I started in 7th grade, I kept hearing my doctors say " Come on. Get

to 5ft tall. Get him that tall. Keep pushing " . Now, I am three inches taller

than their goal, yay! I reached that around the end of last year. I think I grew

three inches in the summer. Oh well.

If you don't know what House is, it is a medical drama starring Hugh Laurie (Go

Laurie!) as House, working with his team of three doctors to diagnosis a patient

with a seemingly unknown problem. It has comedic parts in each episode, in

varying amounts.

age 21 who has CHARGE. She has done some of the things you've talked about

including repeating questions. Patty seldom does that any more unless she is

uncomfortable or unclear of something. She also does that when she is made

to feel anxious about something. All we do is answer her. After the third

question we'd say, " the answer stays the same " or " tell me what I answered

you " These are her cues. Maybe you could come up with something to help.

About your growth, have you seen an endocrinologist? Even though you are 33

you still need to so they can keep your bones and stuff healthy.

And now about watching scary shows on tv. The exact same thing happens to

me. I don't watch scary shows even during the day. For goodness sake, I even

have to turn the channel if the news is going on too much about scary things.

May I also ask why you got the cochlear implant?
