Guest guest
hi all I recieved good news today--Liam will be able to attend the school keegan is going to. It was a 5 yr program--this was the 5th year--the state finally got it's act together and approved the program for next year. he attends a k-8 school 10 minutes from here that has about 160 kids. it's a lovely small town school one grade per class. some people think it's not a good idea, but this keeps them away from so many undesirables that are in our school system and from changing schools every 2 years. bad news pat took a job last week thinking it coud be more than just a week--and it could have been had a business manager in the union said he couldn't transfer w/in the same company to another sight. --he was looking at a year long job. so--we will see--lots of polatics and union rules I don't even begin to understand. he works tomorrow and then goes to the hall on fri--unless he takes a vacastion day and then goes monday to deal w the b.a. he spoke to when he took the job. keep your fingers crossed it works out the stress level in this house is very high--ready to blow. well, we are off to 2 different practices at the same time --two sights and I have a pto mtg I am just an observer--they asked me to be a board member--I chose to say no--aren't you proud of me? Guest guest
, Happy to hear about Liam. Closeness to home and small classes can make so much nicer all the way around. I'll be praying that Pat get to stay in one place for awhile also. Henry is getting moved over to in-house mobile unit. He's not happy about it. Doesn't care for the foreman. He's 53 and we were hoping for him to be offered a retirement package at 55. Doesn't look like it's going to happen though because they aren't hiring any new people to take over for the over 50 guys. The average age of his original mechanical group is 55 yrs +. Looks like they're going to hold onto everyone for as long as they can. It's such a high stress work enviorment that I would really like to see Henry retire early. It would be much better for his health. We can only pray and hope... Take care and be well. mom to 31 > > hi all I recieved good news today--Liam will be able to attend the school keegan is going to. > > > >
Guest guest
- Huge high five for your " no " to the PTO!!!! There is so much to be done, but none of us can do it all. Learning to say no is a huge step in the right direction. Then you'll be able to do better at the things you say " yes " to! And feel way less stressed out. Now, I hope the job thing works out in such a way as to give you guys some stability and peace of mind for a good amount of time - like forever, right? Waiting to hear more good news.
