Guest guest
I had that all my life. I still have it now. But it isn't really obvious, since my brace is straightening out my back. I think my corner streches are helping my shoulders. I don't think it is too late, since I am still on growth hormone shots even though I am 17 years old. That is my two cents. shoulders strengthen Hello, I'm just wondering, is any of you have loop shoulders forward? My parents used to tell me included doctors to exercise my shoulders to straighten up a little a time when I was young like three or four time a week for half in hour and I did little of exercise sometime with physical therpists and at home. Other thing I did not work hard enough that I should or either lazy too. I don't know if it is too late to straighten up my shoulders right now. So have you strengthen your shoulders you were young then is getting better now to straighten up? I did exercise for quite a while but not working hard and I do my best.. just wondering, Michele S. Guest guest
I can't put my right arm over my head, but I can with my left arm. The right arm comes pretty close! I can't put my left ear on my left shoulder. I can turn my head almost 90 degrees to the right. 45 degrees to the left. Guest guest
yeah mines pretty close...Im glad im not the only one ...Can you put your shoulders heaps close together over the front...Most CHARGERs with these shouler problems have a deformed scapula..the term for it isSprengels deformaty but doctors dont really seem to mention it much...Ive seen a photo of this guy with it who can actually touch his shoulders together ... Strenghning your shoulders can help a bit...I know Patty Harggerty had surgery because it was restricting her lungs (sorry if im wroog bonnie) you cant tell with me either...except when im trying to do dancing it frustrates the hell out of me then > > I can't put my right arm over my head, but I can with my left arm. Guest guest
no I couldn't turn shoulders forward together that's hard. as you know how funny is, I asked my family if they can pull my shoulders back from behind me when I fold my arms back of my head you know what I mean you know like put your hands back of your head when you lied down on bed or carpet. so they weren't crazy doing that and I told any of them just once. they were warn me about it. here is go, my father pulled my arms back from behind then i went ack, wow my shoulders felt big stretch and I get a big breath from my lungs. ohhh that hurt. well I better exercise little at a time. that was long ago. other thing about surgery my shoulders my dad thought if that could help pull my shoulders back. well the doctors against it because having surgery half of shoulders to upper arm might be paralyze. so we don't want to risk it. Guest guest
me too i couldn't striaght my arms up to the air close to my side of the head, i can raise both of my arms up like a cross but not fully straight about half way, i'm sure i can bend my head with lift my shoulder up to ears at the same time about close but not fully, i could lift both of my arms front of me about close to my glasses and like you said, my head turn both side. as you know i'm pretty self cousious (sp) about my shoulders in pubic and wear overshirt around my shoulders especially in the summer. yes doctors didn't mention about deformed shoulders so i don't think my shoulders are like that so i think it just turn forward from short bones front of upper chest cause it that way. michele s. Guest guest
I can make them face inwards, make the outerside point forwards. Can't make them connect though. Guest guest
Yay Michele and you guys sound like me with my shoulderes!! Doctors were against surgery for me too because they said it will make little improvement and can have pretty bad scarring.... Bonnie's daughter Patty had it because it was restricting her lungs... I think its usually because we have short scapula bones... So some PT might help but you cant make a bone longer by strenghning... I try stretching my shoulders alot by putting my hands just behind my back and pulling them backwards... This helps a bit but not alot... oooh i cant wait til July.. So many more adult CHARGErs then last time it looks like.... only 9 weeks until i get on a plane and go to america! (im going elswehre for 3 weeks first though)+-
