Guest guest
Chrystine had a G-J tube for about 7 or 8 months. We live in WV where there is no pediatric radiologist so we would have to rush her to Cincinnati Children's every time there was a problem... and there were problems. Once when she began to pull up, she stood on her cord during her overnight feed and pulled it completely out with force. It terrified me. The next time it came out (about 2 months later), I still haven't got a clue how. I just found it laying beside her. I do believe that during her worst fights with gastric reflux that the jejunal tube was a real friend indeed cause we could bypass the tummy. However, I like to give Chrystine baby food + water in her g tube, and that isn't possible with the j tube. So, there are pros and cons of the g-j, I suppose. chrystal-mama arleigh-4 chrystine-18 months CHaRGE+chronic kidney disease and silas-7 months ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
