Guest guest
What you could do is try a 2.5mg stress dose and going back to bed. That is most liekly what I would do if it is more than an hour till time to get up. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Ok. I'll keep that in mind for next time. Does that mean I would take a regular dose when I get up at the normal time if I do the stress dose and go back to sleep? Also, what should I do today, since I didn't do the stress dose. I've been awake for over 2 hours and out of bed for about an hour and 20 mins. I normally wouldn't get up for another hour - hour and a half or so. I haven't taken anything yet. Thank you! Guest guest
Today I would wait till your regular time to dose UNLESS you have symptoms of low cortisol in which case I would take it earlier. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Shellie, this happens to me on a regular basis (if you're following all of the list mail this morning you've probably already seen my posts). I often get up and take 2.5mg of HC with a little cheese and which resolves what I consider to be low cortisol symptoms like the night sweats that I wake up with, hunger pangs and active GI. It doesn't always help me get back to sleep, but it has on more than one occasion. When I do that I usually reduce my next dose, my morning dose, by 2.5mg although maybe I shouldn't if the 2.5mg is more of a stress dose. Anyway, you're not alone and the 2.5mg at 3-5AM might help. -- In NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS , Shelli wrote: > > Ok. I'll keep that in mind for next time. Guest guest
I sometimes take a small dose of HC, 2.5 mg, at that time, to see if it will help me get back to sleep. Then I dose as usual at my regular first am scheduled dose. Some people lowere their first dose by the amount they took in the middle of the night, but I never have. I don't do a 3 am dose very often though, as it doesn't seem to help me much, if any. I still wake at that time every night, and almost every other hour besides. sol Shelli wrote: > What happens when you wake up early, like I did today, as to dosing? Guest guest
hey Val; I'm butting in on this because I have a similar question. I will be traveling shortly and will have to get up at 3:00am to start my day. Do I start the HC so early? I will be through with my dosing by 11:00am, and bedtime is a long ways away. I am currently at 20 mg HC. thanks conny > > What you could do is try a 2.5mg stress dose and going back to bed. Guest guest
When traveling you need ot stress dose extra cortiosl anyway. SO I would take your AM dose twice, whne oyu get up and again when you are supposed to take it. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
