Guest guest
What I've read is that an adrenal fatigued mom will draw off the adrenals of her baby and cause adrenal fatigue in the child. This was true for me - my mom had adrenal fatigue (PTSD) now I have it, and now my kids do too. Guest guest
Hi , Some of the symptoms would be difficulty sleeping, hungry all the time, colic, fussy, projectile vomitting. The baby would be producing way too much for it's own body when it's born causing it to have high cortisol. Rie A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Guest guest
Hmm that is interesting! Would it make a difference in the baby's size at birth and when growing? My baby did actually have all of those symptoms. But now she does not. She is 8 weeks now. The symptoms got WAY better after I took her to the chiropractor and craniosacral therapy. I wonder if that helped with cortisol numbers at all. > > Hi , > > Some of the symptoms would be difficulty sleeping, hungry all the time, > colic, fussy, projectile vomitting. Guest guest
Let me clarify. You are not newly pregnant currently, with an eight week old baby, right? You had adrenal fatigue while pregnant, and that baby is eight weeks old, correct? My children were all born to an adrenal-fatigued mother. I mentioned yesterday that the youngest died. I do not believe that was due to high cortisol (there were other factors). So I just want to make sure I'm not scaring you needlessly. All of my bio children were as Rie described. VERY difficult. Colitis, SEVERE colic, cried all the time, very poor digestion (had to have the ultra fancy ($400 month) formula). As they have gotten older, the two living children have more hypo than adrenal symptoms. My oldest is quite fatigued all the time, lethargic (she's 7). The younger one has sensory processing disorder, and was very difficult until about two years of age (mono, chronic ear infections, on and on). Actually, the pregnancies were more difficult on me as the mom, and had much more long-lasting effects on my health. Best wishes to you and your new baby. Sara in MI > > Hmm that is interesting! Guest guest
I don't know about the weight at birth. My oldest was 8lbs 2oz. I don't know if the chriopractor would help with adrenal levels or not. I do know others who have had success with colic and ear infections using one though. Just keep an eye on her and be aware. My daughter has develped pretty normally. She did have lots of sound sensitivity when she was younger and now just seems to get tired easily which is why I want to get her tested and treated if needed.
