Guest guest
I can comment on this as well. I am 38 female and had a thyroidectomy 4 years ago. Since then I have had trouble keeping weight on, even though I think I " ve been hypothyroid since the surgery. Now that I am taking hyydrocortisone, I should be able to up my Armour and then put weight on. This has been very weird for me, b/c as a child and young adult I was always a little on the pudgy side. Hopefully things will level out for you after you get your adrenals under control. >
Guest guest
I'm a 40 year old man who had been between 5-10 pounds overweight for the past 10 years or so but managed it well because I was very active, working out 3-4 days/week, walking every day, taking the stairs, etc. I could just never take off that pesky 5 pounds and it was slowly creeping up on me, despite the increasing dose of Synthroid (not increased for weight loss but to address other hypo symptoms). Since beginning Armour, and especially HC in November, I have lost almost 20 pounds which is more than 2x as much as I wanted to. I haven't been able to exercise at all and I've completely changed my diet to eliminate gluten and most of everything else that I ever liked to eat more fruits, vegetables, protein and good fats like coconut oil. At this point, I don't know how to stop the weight loss which concerns me and my wife a little. I'm close to having to go clothes shopping. I said this the other day - I know that weight-loss is a major issue for a lot of people here so I'm not trying to rub it in, but I'm getting concerned about it from the opposite direction at this point. Does the weight start to stabilize once Armour is more optimized? I'm still only on 2 grains and I need more based on my symptoms and labs. > > I can comment on this as well.
