Guest guest
My thyroid history is overwhelming but I hope that I will find answers here. Please forgive it being so long I felt I had to start from the beginning. History: I've had a thyroid problem for 13 years. First went to dr. about tiredness and generally no get up and go, and insomnia. She was convinced I had family problems that I was concerned about but did some thyroid testing anyway. I went off and began to lose my hair. I thought 2 teens and 2 toddlers were the problem.I really was unable to deal with anything. Then a few years later a new dr. said Did you know you had thyroid problems. He found the results from the last dr. and I was hypothyroid. He gave me synthroid. 75 mg About 6 years ago I went to a new dr. told her I was tired and needed more thyroid meds she said I was getting older and was bound to be tired. (I was 46) Shortly after this I started menopause with very severe hot-flashes. Then a few years ago I started to have some weird symptoms, carpal tunnel, planta fascia, High blood pressure. I also notice a nodule on my elbow. Depression snuck up on me. I went to the dr. and told him I was tired he said my thyroid was low and raised my synthroid to 125 mg from 112 mg. Within two weeks my throat felt tight and I was having heart palpitations. Sometimes I felt like my chest was too heavy to breath. Before I was through I had aches and pains all over. My fingers, hips, elbows, lower back. My dr. put me on anti depressants ( I didn't take them) and sent me to an endo. She said I needed a psychiatrist. none of my symptoms were from my thyroid and felt my throat and said their was nothing. I went home crying. I then found a great dr. who put me on Amour 90 mg and natural progesterone cream and lots of vitamins. She also felt my throat and said it was fine. All the symptoms went away and I was in hog heaven. About 2 months ago it all started again. hot flashes, tiredness, falling asleep mid afternoon, the aches and pains and tight throat, trouble breathing, the nodule on my elbow looks like psoriasis or ring worm now but it doesn't itch, never has. I went to a new dr. at a health clinic. We didn't have insurance. She would not do the FT3 or FT4 test, only a thyroid panel. But thought that my throat look large and had a ultra sound done. She also noticed that my heart was skipping a beat. I had the ultra sound sent to my great dr. and was very surprised that the health clinic dr didn't call. She called when my blood work came back normal???? and she wanted to lower my thyroid medicine. But with the abnormal ultra sound I have yet to hear from her. Ultra Sound: I have multiple mixed hypoechoic, isoechoic, and anechoic nodules in both lobes of thyroid. my left thyroid measures 4.3x1.4x1.3 cm and the rights is 3.3x 1.4x 1.2 cm and the larges nodules are 1.5x1.0x0.9mm and 10.8x8.4x6.2 mm also the color flows shows normal blood flow through both nodules. Blood work: thyroid peroxidase antibodies 211 H reference range: >35 IU/mL T-3 Uptake 27 reference range: 22-35 T-4 Free 0.0 reference range: 0.8-1.8 ng/dL T4, total 7.0 reference range: 1.4-3.8 tsh, 3rd generation 0.04 reference range: mIU/L 0.40 - 4.50 I sent this to the great dr and she sent a letter with results, she like to see me but I didn't need further test at this time. My question is I have to wait til April 12 to see her. I don't know what these results mean and I don't know if I should be worried or see someone else sooner. Are we talking possible cancer?? I feel a little better just knowing that their is something wrong and I'm having these symptoms for real. I was starting to believe the dr. that said I needed a psychiatrist. Thank you in advance for any help

Guest guest
I would start with a Google search for DHEA and Pregnenolone and also you cn find Isocort that way as well. I haven't any sources handy as I have not used it. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
