Guest guest
Hi All, I read a couple of e-mails that stated they were feeling angry or aggressive, a little hyper, on Cortisol. I have had these feelings also. It isn't happening all the time. I am not sure if it is becasue I am finally having a voice after suffering all this time or what... Is this a side effect of too much to little Cortisol? Could 15 mcg be too high. My Cortisol level was .30 out of 20-1.80. I made the mistake of never getting a saliva test. My doctor believes them to be false/positive. Should have done it just in case. Should listen to myself sometimes. Today I had some old adrenal symptoms, anxiety, depression, no energy. This is actually the first that I felt kind of low on Cortisol. I am also the second day into my period. I have been on a 9 weeks on birth control, one week off, and now we are trying to get me on 3 weeks on one week off of birth control. When I am on birth control I also take Progesterone cream 200 mg at night. I usually don't have night sweats when I am on the birth control and Progesterone cream, but when I am off it look out. We are trying to stop the birth control because it is supressing my estrogen, which was 25 not sure of the range, sorry. My current dose is 5-5-2.5-2.5. I was feeling best around my second dose of Cortisol. I have felt kind of adrenal rush in the evenings. I have some good nights of sleep (about every other night) if I go to bed by 9:00 otherwise it is screwed up. My temps today are 98.6 and 98 so far. I take them at 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00. Morning temp of 97.6. The only thing different I have been doing that I can think of to make me out of sorts is working a lot and changing my Cortisol to first thing and then taking thyroid meds an hour after I eat. I thnk I feel better taking the thryoid first. Val if you can figure my nightmare out or any advice on whats going on. All my sex hormones are low. Progesterone, estorgen, hardly no testosterone, DHEA, and pronegalone are all in the dirt. So, this is why I am on Progesterone. I couldn't tolerate the dose of DHEA/Prognegalone until it wore off. I believe it was DHEA 25 mg/Pronegalone 100. It was very calming when wearing off though. I could try half of a capsule since theyare together but that would still be high for DHEA from all I read here...... I am so sorry this is long, I needed to unload. I had a frustrating day. It is just depressing when you think you are going up and then get kicked down again......and again.
