Guest guest
I have been told to skip anything after late afternoon for morning blood draws. Guest guest
Probalby too late to help much, but I don't think water would be an issue. It would probalby be helpful in drawing blood. Being dehydrated makes it harder to get a vein. Can't really help witht hemeds bit though. I would think the nighttime dose would be fine. Rie A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Guest guest
I take thhyroid as usual the day before testing even the bedtime dose. I do nto take it in the Am. You can drink water before any test, even a fasting one. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Hmmmm..... last time I did that, val -- my levels were WAAAYYYYY over range. It had only been 8-9 hours since my dose and I scared the heebie-jeebies out of myself and my doctor. We retested a few months later, and I made sure my last dose was taken a bit earlier -- about 15 hours and my levels showed I still needed to come up in dose a bit. Stating this, how many hours do you think is necessary between the last dose and the blood draw? > > I take thhyroid as usual the day before testing even the bedtime dose. Guest guest
Hi all, Since I didn't think to ask last night until too late, I did go ahead and take my bedtime T3 at 9:40 pm. Blood draw was at 7 am. Thanks for all the answers, though. I did have water, don't know why I can't remember it is ok. I could not have lasted that long with no water. This isn't a test for any of the frees, it will only have TSH. So I hope ok. And the rest of a regular blood panel, glucose, electrolytes, lipids, kidney and liver, etc. Hemogram, but probably not ferritin, nobody seemed to know about that. I wish I had done this health fair blood test instead of the ones I had done in Jan, which cost me a fortune, since I had not met my deductible. This health fair blood panel is only $73. Out of pocket, but still think it is worth it. sol wrote: > My labs I take my last dose around 9-10 PM have bllod drawn between 8-9 > AM and it is fine. I have done that with both Armoru and T3. Guest guest
I guess that is possible; because of the high results, I did scale back the dose by half a grain -- but it was seriously high at those labs.... the ones done recently were in range but not quite there yet. Thanks for the reply. > > My labs I take my last dose around 9-10 PM have bllod drawn between 8-9 > AM and it is fine. I have done that with both Armoru and T3.
