Are you taking HC? How about iron? you definately need iron. You are not

possibly iron def., you are. Unless this is a completely different range

than I'm used to seeing, your iron should ideally be around 70-90. Plus the

Ferritin dropped by 16 points! Not good. Ferritin will affect your thyroid

stuff.

50 mcg T4 + 7.5 mg armour (both compounded). Every time i try to raise

i wake up the next morning holding an extra 3lbs of water, it's unreal.

My doc believes in the 98% and 2% protocol (the 2% being T3).

No HC - had a bad reaction to it when i tried it once, and my tests

don't show that I require it, nor do i want to go there if not

needed. I am on iron - proferrin. Just, hmmmmm doesn't seem to be

getting the numbers up. You are right, it's iron def.... same ranges.

Low ferritin can certainly interfere with thyroid increases, so maybe that

has soemthing to do with it. I'm not familiar with proferrin, but if you've

been taking it for awhile and your numbers dropped, you should point it out

to your doctor. Maybe if you get the ferritin up to a higher level you would

be albe to tolerate more Armour. You also may want to consider taking

licorice or something to support your adrenal glands. your #'s weren't bad,

but some support wouldn't hurt.

Thanks for everyone's help. I was just bawling this morning - i

raised my meds an added 1/4 grain of armour (7.5mg). Initially i felt

like i was having a heart attack, so i took some zinc, selenium, vit.

d and sea salt an hr later and not long after it went away. A bit of

palps last night and this morning (likely the low ferritin). I woke

up feeling and looknig like i had overall edema and the scale was up

2lbs!!! (i'm only 5'3, if that). EVERYTIME i try to raise the scale

goes up significantly so i back it down again. I just cant figure out

why --- its like my aldosterone goes up. Thing is, i am already 20lbs

over my normal weight and i dont want to do anythign at all that

makes it go up more. I am already gaining about 3lbs a month, and

more so if i raise. WHY???????????

Because you are at too low a dose! Lower doses only serve to lower TSH

which lowers your thyroid output more than you are adding. Lower thyroid

causes the fluid retention.

But if I add more ... shouldn't that water retention diminish and

not increase??? Am I missing something else? My cortisol tests don't

show a need for HC etc.
