Guest guest
Am I understanding correctly that canary club has two labs that run tests? ZRT and Diagnos- Techs? ANd that ZRT offers one testing option but Diagnos-techs has several? The other difference I see is ZRT talks about " ZRT uses proprietary saliva extraction methods to remove contaminants that could otherwise alter test results. " Have people found either service to be better? I don't need any of the thyroid panels, so am thinking Diagnos basic basic test will be ok for me, but don't want to throw money away if one is better than the other. Thanks! Guest guest
I initially used ZRT through Canary Club because I wanted the full panel of tests. Since then, I have used ZRT directly since I was only testing a few hormones. I have found them to be fantastic. Their customer service department is friendly, helpful, and the lab efficient. They have doctors on staff that review your test results and provide a written report to you discussing and interpreting the results of your test. The test results can be reviewed online within a week or so of testing and then the lab provides a paper copy through the mail too. Guest guest
thanks val and holly-- I'm still trying to decide. i've got plenty of blood tests for my hormones and thyroid, so am thinking all i need is the adrenal saliva panel. Did you find different and good info from the saliva hormone panel? I thought our hormones fluctuated so much during the day, as well as over a months time that unless a hormone saliva panel was going to be repeated frequently a one time shot was difficult to draw information from. Is that correct? For the adrenal panel--am I correct, what I want is the panel that collects saliva from several times during the day. NOT just in the AM? thanks again-- > >
Guest guest
When testing the adrenals, it is best to order the test requiring four samples over the course of the day. Pertaining to the other hormones, likes estrogen, progesterone, etc, it is best to test over the course of a month. However, the only labs that do testing over the course of the month, require a doctor to order the test. This is positively idiotic to me, but thats how it is. The only way you could get around it, would be to order several tests over the course of the month, but this might become cost prohibitive! I just make sure that I test at the same time of month when testing these hormones, but I know that is not the optimal way to handle the situation. ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
