I am sorry but reading this was so funny to me. When Mark was small he would

close his eyes if he thought I was going to sign wait or later :)

,

Thank you for inquiring about Mark & I attending the conference.

As the parent of an older CHARGE'r I have many different issues now. Mark out

weighs me by 30+ pounds and I can't always control him now that he is 23 and

bigger than myself :( As the CHARGE'r get older it most defiantly does not get

easier. I feel the medical issues then take a back-seat to behavioral issues

which can immobilize you. I have many concerns for the future and no real

answers. I love reading the list serve because the kids share so many

similarities.

Mark is very unique but quite a handful.

She looks so cute. Amita does kinda the same thing when she gets

frustrated.

And , you ain't seen nothin' until you've seen Amita throw a fit.

Deepta,

It's kind of amusing now really because it isn't in the " fit " stage

anymore. The hardest time I find is when I'm talking to another adult and

not giving her 100% - I think that also might be because she might not be

" getting " all of the conversation and doesn't want to miss anything. She's

always anxious to get going when I'm talking to someone else. When she gets

frustrated with " things " now, that's when it's kind of funny, like the

bubbles.

Great pics and videos, ! Looks like you guys had a fun weekend!

I can relate to the impatience thing-- has NO patience whatsoever! She

gets mad at us when we sign " wait " to her. Then she'll start signing " no " over

and over to herself, like she is telling herself " No, no, no, you have to learn

to wait! " It cracks me up!

Belinda,

I can't WAIT for you to meet her, she'll probably be all shy at first but

it's just going to be so wonderful for her to meet so many other new

friends.

I absolutely agree with you on the behaviours taking over after the medical

is taken care of. I've been glad to have been able to attend the sessions

of the non-medical type at the last few conferences; I definitely feel they

are the most beneficial to me right now (that and talking with all the other

families and meeting all the great folks with or without CHARGE!).

Impatience!

One of the things that drives me batty at times with Kennedy is her

impatience - I know I'm supposed to always be the understanding one, but

sometimes, it's really difficult. Other times, however, it's kind of funny

- I put up some videos over at the blog today of Kennedy playing with her

GIANT bubble wand - at one point she gets so aggravated when the bubbles

that she starts yelling out " no! " to the bubbles. The videos are at

http://chargesyndrome.blogspot.com if you're interested in a good laugh!

Hey ,

Speaking of impatience, we were checking out your blog when MacKenzie noticed

Kennedy's long, straight hair. Well, she immediately said, " I want curly hair

and I want it now " . Seems that she thinks if you can make Kennedy's hair

straight, I can make hers curly. I'm really not ready for perms. They are truly

becoming little ladies.
