bald spot from crawling on his head

Another minor issue...but thought it was humorous to share. And/or someone

might have some input to share from a similar experience. :)

Mighty Maxwell is loving being mobile these days. He crawls like a madman.

And YAY, YAY, YAY, he finally has the strength to crawl " typically " with his

head up. However, he is so obsessed with crawling with a car in both hands that

he often relies on his head for balance.

The result? A bald spot smack dab in the front of his head...pretty silly

looking! Plus it is now on the verge of getting pink and perhaps sore.

Hmmmm...any ideas? I give him tons of opportunity to use his walker and I

always encourage him to pick up his head when crawling. But the boy loves his

cars...what are you gonna do??? :)

Terry cloth headband maybe? Gotta love the ol' five point crawl. Kennedy

used to get a bald spot on the BACK of her head from back scooting...I

remember those days well!

Amy-

I just have to giggle at this one! Can he wear a hat that will protect the

pink spot and even promote head-sliding?? What a hoot! You have to be sure

to get video of this one!

Amy,

Dylan crawled pushing a Little Tikes dump truck backwards. Roy bolted

it down, so it wouldn't dump. In this way he crawled on his knees

with his back straight so he was looking forward - it was his

transition to on his feet walking.
