Guest guest
I think it is neurotransmitter related . Cortisol affect these levels in the brain. Lack of cortisol causes adaptive states in some people and especially in long term low cortisol situations. I believe the way to lessen this affect would be to ramp it up slower so the adapting neurotransmitters are slowly lowered to normal levels as you raise the cortisol. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
Darla - That is helpful. I was also feeling angry, but noticed since my period and being off bc for the week I don;t feel that way. My doctor wants me to eventually get off the bc as I was 9 wks on 1wk off and it was supressing my estrogen levels. So thanks for that post.... Re: a possible anger answer? I do not know if you are of " the age " , but the intense anger I felt was from very low estrogen. HC has never made me feel angry. Guest guest
I noticed my adrenaline rush also about an hour after each of my doses. That is weird sounds like we have something similar going on. I felt great ramping up at 5-2.5-2.5-2.5, but when I got to the 5-5-2.5-2.5 point I noticed that an adrenaline rush after the second dose. Then at night I started noticing and adrenaline rush. I tried to go up to 7.5-5-2.5-25. and that is when I started having trouble sleeping and breathing trouble at night. I had to sit in a chair or upright in bed. Then I came back down to 5-2.5-2.5-2.5 and got a severe headache for two days. Have you gotten any headaches? I also am off birth control this week, so maybe that has something to do with hormonal upset. I also take Progesterone, but I do good with that. I am going to stay at 5-2.5-2.5-2.5 for a while and let my body tell me the rest. Hope it works. I need to get more temps on my chart to determine things yet. Are you having any trouble sleeping? After all this I tried 5-5-2.5-2.5 Re: a possible anger answer? darla, i actually have estrogen dominance with very low progesterone. i used progesterone cream for several months, and although i know it's helped many others it made matters worse for me...again i think bc at the time i was looking at labs trying one thing at a time and think hypo/adrenal fatigue is the issue even hypo causing some estrogen dominance vs low progesterone being the issue. i'm trying to figure out the anger issue coming up with these possibilities of my own and gathered from responses here: 1. too low of cortisol 2. too high of a dose too quickly as rhonda suggested 3. metabolism jump starting/adrenaline rush making me feel aggression 4. any other suggestions???? i was monitoring when the anger came and seemed to hours after my dose indicating low cortisol but i've noticed a bit of it now even soon after a dose so wonder if i'm on too much? not enough? an adrenaline rush? just really confused!!!! i'm on 7.5-5-5-2.5 and my cortisol levels were near zip before starting > > > > i've posted about feeling surges of anger/aggression since getting > on > > hc and see alot of others have felt this as well but several of you > > think it could be a result of low cortisol instead of the hc. > > > > i just thought of something instead that i wondered if any of you > > thought could be a possibility, and that is since my adrenal > fatigue > > was so severe for so long that the feeling of anger/aggression i > > sometimes feel taking hc is more a result of my metabolism waking > up or > > perhaps an adrenaline rush rather than the hc itself? i think i > feel > > better overall on it and sometimes get a calming feeling with it so > i > > wondered if there is something else that could be causing those > > feelings? > > > > i wouldn't be asking so much about it other than i can't express to > you > > just how scary these feelings are. i feel literally like i could > snap > > and do something horrible they are SO intense so looking for > answers as > > to what this could be?!! > > > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
Hi Sara i noticed that i (probably inner parent) am getting angry with myself because i am sick..I am now struggling with these feelings of anger towards myself. bw Nil Re: a possible anger answer? For the " anger " question, I know there might still be some hormonal issues I haven't worked out, but sometimes I just get so angry because of the

Guest guest
Yes, yes, and yes! I can so relate to feeling substandard, and like I don't pull my weight in the home, because I don't. I can't but I'm getting slowly better, with slightly better days more often just recently. And since I haven't been able to work for over 10 years, I know I would really be helpless if anything happened to DH, as I could not support myself whatsoever. And when I don't pull my weight I feel very guilty, like I'm just sucking up resources and giving nothing in return. sol sebrown1126 wrote: > I also get angry because I'll get better for a little while, then > replapse again for seemingly no reason. Guest guest
Hi Shar, So, far I have been doing okay. I have had three good nights of sleep. I have learned not to stay up past 10:00 if at all possible. This is the first time in years I have been waking up feeling refreshed. I have decided to go really slow with the Cortisol SR. I am currently at 5-2.5-2.5-2.5. I am going to really document when I feel a certain way to figure this out. Val had mentioned to watch the symptoms as to the timing of the Cortisol. She wrote, if you get shaky 3 plus hours after the HC it is lowering ACTH and you need to bump up the dosing. I you get shaky or hot 1-2 hours after Cortisol or HC dose it means High Cortisols and you should lower. I did feel better in lowering my second dose. I will raise as I feel my body needs it. I am keeping track of my temps also. So, hopefully soon I can see what that means. Also, this week I have been off my birth control and find I don't have they angry feelings I did. I have decided to not continue with the birth control because we were trying to get me off of this anyway. Hopefully that works without any kaos. I do use my Progesterone cream at night when I don't have my period. My doctor said it should help with sleep. I know I am not out of the woods, but doing better. Last night I was able to go out with a group of friends and be able to relax and actually have fun without trying. I had a margareitta with salt and slept like a baby. I did go to bed by 10:30. I haven't done this in years and actually had fun.... I kind of hypernate because of the way I feel I don't want to be social. I always had the uncomfortable can't relax feelings.... Have a great week! Keep me posted. We sound like we have a lot of the same things going on. Did you ever get your adrenals test with the saliva test? I only have a blood test and could kick myself for not doing it before starting the Cortisol. Mine was .30 (range .20-1.80). I don't know how severe that would be. Re: a possible anger answer? rhonda it does sound like we have alot in common with this. the more i read and ask the more i am thinking this is a surge of adrenaline that's making me feel angry/aggressive. i was feeling good too when starting the hc, calmer yet more energetic like my body was saying " OMG THANKS FOR THIS " then when i started ramping up i would feel these aggressive rushes, sometimes to the point of pure panic and i'd have to take ativan to calm down. other times i feel calm taking the hc and i know overall it should have that effect and i read alot online about how low cortisol causes aggressive/impulsive feelings. so i'm concluding (i think) that my body being so low on adrenal reserves for so long and my cortisol levels flatlined before taking the hc that now that it's finally getting it my body is saying 'thanks' on one hand but 'whoa...we're not used to this!' on the other causing a surge of adrenaline leading to these feelings? does that seem to make sense? maybe i should taper the dose down too? did you find the feelings subsided when you did? are you planning to ramp up again just slower? yes i also would get some headaches when i felt the anger rushes too. i just want to figure this out so much bc i know my body NEEDS the hc but i don't want to assume wrongly that i need more or less ect. until i figure it out more bc these feelings are very scary! can the adrenaline rush cause this??? > > > > > > i've posted about feeling surges of anger/aggression since > getting > > on > > > hc and see alot of others have felt this as well but several > of you > > > think it could be a result of low cortisol instead of the hc. > > > > > > i just thought of something instead that i wondered if any of > you > > > thought could be a possibility, and that is since my adrenal > > fatigue > > > was so severe for so long that the feeling of > anger/aggression i > > > sometimes feel taking hc is more a result of my metabolism > waking > > up or > > > perhaps an adrenaline rush rather than the hc itself? i think > i > > feel > > > better overall on it and sometimes get a calming feeling with > it so > > i > > > wondered if there is something else that could be causing > those > > > feelings? > > > > > > i wouldn't be asking so much about it other than i can't > express to > > you > > > just how scary these feelings are. i feel literally like i > could > > snap > > > and do something horrible they are SO intense so looking for > > answers as > > > to what this could be?!! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
