Guest guest
Tim, Talk to his therapists (does he have a speech or hearing therapist?) Ours helped us get a loaner from SEADOL so I am sure there is something like that near you that you can use. Sorry I forgot her name but the woman from Philip Rock who came out and gave you the senory box she might have some answers also. Good luck and I am glad things are going well. Guest guest
We had a BAHA softband on load from Entific Canada for a long time before Kennedy got the Divino implant. I don't think it was called an Intenseo, I haven't really heard of those before (Kennedy's look like this: http://www.chargesyndrome.info/baha.html the picture with the red band on). It might be worth a call to the company to see if they have any loaners (or get your audiologist to call them) - they were great with us up here in Canada, don't know what they're like in the US. Good luck! Mom to Kennedy (9) www.chargesyndrome.info > > Well our son is doing well. We just had his cleft lip repaired, ABR > test, CT scan. Guest guest
BAHA loaners are far a few between. I have trouble getting loaners when 's is broken. I think it is because it is now under Coclear sp? And they are just awful. I know, why don't they rent them or sell used ones. I am always on the hunt for used ones myself. We have 2 and I am considering buying another Divino but they are 4,000. I'll ask around my son's school for you to see if anyone has one to give up. It's a slim but possible chance. Debbie Matasker mom to w/CHARGE 10, 12, andra 8 BAHA Intenseo Headband for sale anybody??? Well our son is doing well. We just had his cleft lip repaired, ABR test, CT scan. His results are moderate to extreme hearing loss, Cochlea issues with testing every 6 months to watch and see. In the meantime we are to try a BAHA Intenseo hearing aid. Of course our Health Insurance (which I won't complain has been great to date) won't pay. I find it strange that we buy new BAHA, when this is only a temporary solution. Why are they not rented? What happens to the used ones? We are exploring various options for help with the cost but I wanted to see if anyone in the group had one they wanted to sell. Also does anybody have an idea how much they cost. In Christian's case it may not be strong enough and we would have to upgrade to the belt clip version and I'm sure he won't like that now that he has finally mastered rolling over and around. Still can't hold his head up for any extended time or crawl, but we are working on it. Guest guest
We've had a loaner for nearly a year from our audiologist. I just shipped it back today. Aubrie is using her BTE aids while we wait for her BAHA site to heal enough to use. We used the loaner all through the decision-making process, while waiting for surgery, and could have kept it until fully healed if we didn't have the BTE option.
