This study shows that DHEA returns to NORMAL levels with HC therapy and it is elevated to begin with. This does NOT mean HC lowers DHEA btu NORMALIZES it. The fact that it goes too low in pituitary dysfunction simply means the CRH is not right which you already knwo as a hypopit patient. ALL hormones will be low and need replacement in hypopit, it is simply how much that varies by individual. Conclusions/: DHEA levels are raised in CFS and correlate with the degree of self-reported disability. Hydrocortisone therapy leads to a reduction in these levels towards normal, and an increased DHEA response to CRH, most marked in those who show a clinical response to this therapy. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
