I would mention this to your doctor and see if he will give oyu Metformin and go to low glycemic.. high fat low carb diet. If oyu are able walkign after eating helps lower it too. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets

Guest guest
If you can test often enough it can give oyu a good idea. But having a glucose of 70 before kunmch tells me your dose may still be too low, and certainly is not high. 70 is close to being hypoglycemic, in fact is a bit for some people. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
Too much B6 can also cause neuropathy...I just this past week realized that's what was causing my numb hands and feet since I was taking 250mg per day , plus another 100mg that was in my multivitamin. Some people are ok with that level, but studies have shown 500mg per day to cause neuropathy...for me it was only 350mg. liz > > Hi Val and all > > I started having burning legs for the last or three weeks. the amount of burning increases from top to bottom, feet having the greatest amount.sensation is something like between burning and `pins and needles`. Guest guest
You can use the FIRST thing in the Am glucose level btu it needs to be within minutes of waking and then a second one in 1-1.5 hours with not eatign or drinking anything with ANY carbs. Nothing but water or black coffee/tea. The first should be 75-99 and the second should not be over about 85-110 tht would indicate good cortils levels over all. Lower would indicate low cortisl and high er could indicate high cortilsl. You would also have to do this at least 4-5 times to rule out the odd number that can happen wiht glucose. Many things affect it so it should always be an average fo several that you would use to decide what it is doing. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
thanks very much val.. this was great info. so,if i understood you correctly we will take our first cortisone after the test is completed. is that right? also this is independent of thyroid condition and this would apply if person is on sufficient thyroid support or not?isn't it? best wishes. nil Re: burning legs. Guest guest
Low thyroid can make insulin resistance worse as can low estrogen or low testosterone. But the testing will show FASTING levels which is what cortilsl i responsible for, insulin resistacnce is when you eat and how much insulin your body makes to handle the load. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
I also developed burning tingling feet/ankles in the past three weeks. It's off an on, but since I started on Armour two days ago (1/4 grain) and my feet are actually warm..I have noticed it more and can feel it more. It feels like the skin is tight and chapped, and tingling inside..only the tops of the feet and ankles. Bottoms feel normal..legs fine. No symptoms in hands or feet. No signs of blood sugar problems, no symptoms. Fasting glucose was normal last time I had it checked. I have been on adrenal cortex for 22 months, NutriMed thyroid until two days ago. Taking 500mg of garlic oil, 200mcg of chromium in the am. The symptoms started before the Armour. It is almost the same type of sensation you have when you go out in the cold for a while, then when you come in and your feet warm up. I asked about this on NTH..and got some good ideas, and some probably don't apply to me ideas. No kidney problems. No other health issues other than hypoadrenal/hypothyroid signs. B complex needed maybe? I take it but not regularly. Minerals? -- In NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS , " Nil " wrote: > > Hi Val and all > > I started having burning legs for the last or three weeks. the amount of burning increases from top to bottom, feet having the greatest amount.sensation is something like between burning and `pins and needles`. Guest guest
I had your type of problem previously. it was coming and going type and at certain parts of my feet.I took some b12 and b6 and it went away.i have a feeling it could be b12 deficiency.what i have at this moment is constant and evenly distributed to both of my legs. your b12 tests might be fine but you may still be deficient . check MCV.. if it is near top limit or above and if your hemoglobin is near low side of the limit you may still have B12 deficiency. bw nil Re: burning legs. Guest guest
MCV is 83 (range 81-93), HGB is12.6 (range is 11-16) so both are low end of normal. I am going to try the B complex..I have been using it but not everyday. Guest guest
if you have b6 or b12 deficiency just taking b complex may not be sufficient. i had this problem while on b complex.just something to keep in mind. bw nil Re: burning legs.
