It really is not enough corytils to cause those excess symptoms. If you are having to stress dose just for a hard work day then you need mroe cortils overall. Guest guest
rhonda i wanted to address this since i was writing about it prior to a week ago. i thought too it was too much cortisol but when i reduced the dose i felt worse and am back up to 20mg still having low cortisol symptoms. i don't know if what i was feeling was adrenaline surges or like val said i'm wondering if it was maybe even a thyroid dump but i haven't been experiencing the anger like i was and more of a calming effect. maybe your case is similar and you are actually needing more? not sure as i'm new still to this all too but wanted to share since we were feeling similar. > > Thanks Val. My doctor has me on 15 mg of Cortisol SR. She said to stay at that and we can discuss going to 20 mg. She says people are on it for years when they go higher, but I am thinking doesn't it take a couple of years to heal from this anyway, even on extracts, etc... Also, if the changes in hormones are from stopping birth control do you think that it will subside or should I have waited to stop these? I think my cortisol could be low also because as soon as I started the cortisol the neck stiffness went away for a while.. > > So, I shouldn't be scared to go up on the cortisol. Guest guest
rhonda i'm dosing 7.5-5-5-2.5 and though i am noticing some positive changes i still feel sick overall. everyday is a struggle and i went awhile with the anger surges, panic, feeling out of sorts and weird/wired to now experiencing extreme fatigue and hypo mainly. i've been reading like crazy to understand more and wonder if too maybe i'm not utilizing the armour like i should due to low cortisol and/or ferritin. my ferritin was low and i just started taking elemental iron. my cortisol was flatlined, so i also don't think i'm taking too much with 20 mg that would cause those feelings, in fact i'm wondering now if that is enough so charting temps. maybe your ferritin is low as well? as for the headaches i had those with the feelings of anger and panic but i can't say to the extent you are sounding and would ask val what those could be due to. i'm just going by trial and error through the readings and posts of others and feel really alone in this all even though i know i'm not. i guess we all reach some conclusions that way. > > > > Thanks Val. Guest guest
Val, You mentioned if I didn't stress dose it would be hard on my immune system and if there wasn't enough cortisol the T3 wouldn't get to the cells. I think that is exactly what happened to me, but I am affraid to stress dose and not sure when, but find out once the adrenaline kicks in it is too late. I have also went off my birth control and it has been 9 days. I started to feel sad the last couple of days, so I was thinking it is because I didn't stress dose on Wednesday after I got rearended in my vehicle and then had a physically chanallenging work week. I feel some clenching in my jaw area and stiffness in my neck. So, I am thinking it is hypo symtpoms. My temp in morning has been 97.2-97.6. Also, I find when I am working and doing a lot of physical work the adrenaline kicks in about 4 hours later. Is it okay to stress dose another 2.5 in morning and 2.5 afternoon without doing the midafternoon and evening dose? I am affraid to go to high because I was having symtpoms of anger when I was at 5-5-2.5-2.5. I am at 5-2.5-2.5-2.5 now. Also, do you notice any symptoms when you down from stress dosing? Would like your opinion on this. If you think the sadness is from dc birth control or hypo symptoms and not stress dosing. Thank you

Guest guest
Hey Shar, I forgot to ask in the last e-mail, how are you dosing? I am at 5-5-2.5-2.5 today. I feel a lttle anxious today. My morning temp axillary was 97.4. I think I am getting a little hypo. The last few days I took my temps I switched from axillary to oral. The temps have been 98.1 and 98.4. I am only on 30 mcg of T3, so I think I am feeling a little hypo. Do you get the dull headaches in the back of the head that sometimes turn into a three day killer headache, sometimes migraine? Guest guest
Thanks Val! My thoughts exactly on the Cortisol. I tried the herbs from their clinic and they made me sad. I haven't felt sad on cortisol and do feel I am able to go on and do the normal things without all those symptoms... So, I know for me it is the answer. Thanks Re: not stress dosing >>Thanks Val. Guest guest
Hey Shar, Thanks for the post. I was seeing a chiropractor for my headaches, which helps for a while but they always come back. When I started the cortisol they stopped and once in a while I would get a dull one, but not that bad. Also, the stiffness that I would get in the back of my head and neck area lessened. So, either the T3 is getting to where it has to go or the Cortisol is helping that. I was checked for ferritin but that looks good. All of my other hormones are very low. Does the increase on Cortisol make an adrenanline rush? I upped it today after reading your post to see what happens. Hopefully, I will get my temps steady enough to increase. How many days is it for them to be within .2 degrees of each other to increase? Is is 3 days? I haven't increased the T3 yet so this would probably help some.....Rhonda Re: not stress dosing > > > > > > >>I am affraid to go to high because I was having symtpoms of > anger when I was at 5-5-2.5-2.5.
