Guest guest
We'll be there til Monday noon (when we leave to go stay at my friend's place for a few days) - but I already made plans to go to the Medieval Times that night with her so I'll have to miss out on the dinner. I'm sure you'll find folks to go for sure and remember there will be people at the conference who aren't on the listserv so you'll meet lots of new friends as well... Guest guest
, I am thinking of doing the beach Sun. afternoon as well, maybe Laguna. We don't go to Disney until Mon. morning. Guest guest
Crystal. Darlin you are about 5 miles from the ocean (Laguna Beach) when you are at the hotel. And believe me there is nothing like watching the sun set on the Pacific Ocean. I've lived here practically all my life and seen it a thousand times sand it still thrills me. Guest guest
I just really want to do the walk of fame. I've always wanted to put my hands in my long time favorite actiress' Judy Garland. I'm still trying to figure out if I can get to Universal. I am hoping I may encounter a dog lover conference goer who may be willing to watch Velda (Guide Dog) for a few hours so I can go, or go with a group to Universal because theres always someone in a group who wont want to go on a ride so can hold the dog. Disney is easy since they have kennels, Universal doesnt. And the beach is a must for Velda as she is a major water dog! I am sure MacKenzie will love it too! Guest guest
Hi all, New member here. I do not have a child with CHARGE, however, I am an OT Assistant and am currently treating a 3 year old little guy in a preschool setting. I joined this group to get insight into the syndrome and learn more about it, and I am learning tons of stuff from you all. It is really helping me to understand him better and hopefully, to be able to treat him better, as far as OT goes. Anyway, I just wanted to chime in regarding the post below and things to do in SF. A great place is the Bay Area Children's Museum in Sausalito. It is just beyond the Golden Gate Bridge heading North on 101. It's located at the old Fort Baker, which was a Coat Guard base, and it has amazing views of the GG Bridge. There's lots for the kids to do. They have an outdoor area with a crab boat, an old pirate ship that looks like it's been sunk and the kids can climb all around it and dig for " buried treasure " . Well, that's all I have for now. Thanks for letting me part of this amazing group. ~Angie (in Bay Area, CA) > > Joanne, > > A must see is Pier 39 (or the San Francisco Wharf ).. Guest guest
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll have plenty of room in my suitcase for sourdough bread by the end of the trip as we go through all the diapers we'll have to pack! joanne > Joanne, > > A must see is Pier 39 (or the San Francisco Wharf ).. Guest guest
Casey, Thanks for the recap on things to do in San Francisco. My husband and I lived in the city for seven years (but it was a while ago) and plan to take a day trip in during our two week trip to California for the conference. I forgot how many wonderful things there are to do there - besides the great food . I think it will be fun to show our sons where we lived and show them around. We are looking forward to the conference! Mom to Cameron, 5, CHaRGE and , 7 Wife to Linden
