Guest guest
Thanks for the info Linn!! I am going to ask my doc about all this and see what he says. He is a really good doc and seems to try natural methods with conventional methods. I just didn't think about it until recently. That is great about your daughter!! How high were her antibodies?? What kind of diet does she stick to now?? My antibodies were kind of high to begin with (TPO was 221, anti-thyroglobin 50), but have went much higher in the last 6 months (TPO 350) and it really concerns me. They seemed to run " a-muck " and go higher when I was having trouble with my adrenals -- they went into the pooper around the last holidays and my cortisol was very low. I was on hydrocortisone for a couple months, just a low dose in addition to Adrenogen and it really helped alot. But it really worries me having high antibodies. I would love to hear more about your daughter and how you guys got hers lowered! -Marcy
Guest guest
Marcy, My daughter's antibodies were termed by her endo as astronomical, TPO was over 5000. She is on a gluten casein soy free diet, very little processed food. It took about a year and half to get the antibodies eliminated. Diet has an enormous impact on metabolism. Guest guest
Oh my goodness Linn!!! That was very, VERY high, and I am amazed she not only got them down, but eliminated!! WOW!!! I really need to try a diet then. I have heard from different people that when you have Hashi's, like 80% of those people also have a gluten intolerance and may not even be aware of it. I tried going " gluten free " for a month last year, but it was so hard cuz it seems to be in just about everything, plus I have always struggled with gaining weight -- I know that is like totally opposite of what I should be considering I am HYPO. I probably sound like a big baby - LOL. Seriously I know I should try it for longer to see if I notice a difference. Where do you buy your gluten free foods? And do you have any tips on where to find good recipes?? I had a tough time making anything taste good when we were cooking gluten-free. Thanks for sharing that with me! Gives me hope ) -Marcy > > Marcy, > > My daughter's antibodies were termed by her endo as astronomical, TPO was over 5000. She > is on a gluten casein soy free diet, very little processed food.
