Guest guest
, I found it to be weaker, but only in respect of switching to armour. Since I was taking a higher dose of the American Biologics, I was getting the same effect. Titrating properly is everything. Though there may be some additional differences between bovine thyroid and porcine thyroid. I don't know how significant those would be. The bovine worked fine for me. I am actually planning to switch back to it at some point. I'm really tired of the effort to get what I need, since I have no doctor. And since they seem to work well for me, I really don't see much reason to keep up the effort and expense of obtaining " the real thing " . Expense is also a biggish consideration for me. My DH is retiring this coming fall, and our income is gong to drop by half, and I plan to be switched back by then if all goes well. sol >> > It's weaker than Armour? Guest guest
Hi, Can I know where you get your product and how much weaker than Armour and how much i can take without any bad side effect. > > , > I found it to be weaker, but only in respect of switching to armour. > Since I was taking a higher dose of the American Biologics, I was > getting the same effect. Guest guest
I get American Biologics thyroid at iherb.com I have no way to know how much weaker than armour anyone else would experience it to be, nor can anyone know how much any person can or should take. That is why we titrate up our doses slowly, so we find our personal best dose, and don't go beyond it. (theoretically anyway) sol simachapchian wrote: > Hi, > Can I know where you get your product and how much weaker than Armour > and how much i can take without any bad side effect. > > > > >

Guest guest
Hi sol, When compared American Biologics to Armour, did you mean a single capsule of AB (130mg) was about half the strength of 1 grain of Armour (60mg), or did you mean 130mg of AB was half the strength of 130mg of Armour? Just curious because it makes a big difference in terms of cost. Also, did you or your DH notice any variation in the strength of the AB from bottle to bottle? Jay > > Anyone using Nutrimeds Thyroid? Guest guest
Jay, B. LOL. 130 mg of American Biologics seemed to me about equivalent to 60 mg of Armour. I was taking it in divided doses during a day, not one pill all at once. I've only used American Biologics from one bottle so far, so don't know yet if it varies batch to batch. If it does, that would be a good reason to stick with Armour or Thyroid S or one of the other script thyroids. My DH doesn't take thyroid, just me. sol thisismyemailprofile wrote: > When compared American Biologics to Armour, did you mean a single > capsule of AB (130mg) was about half the strength of 1 grain of Armour > (60mg), or did you mean 130mg of AB was half the strength of 130mg of > Armour? Guest guest
Thanks sol. Couldn't find AB at iherb but luckyvitamin has it for $20.80. I noticed yesterday that iherb started carrying Raw Enterprises Raw Thyroid, 200mg of thyroid x 90 capsules for $18.55.. seems like a good price compared to AB's 130mg x 90, IF the strength is proportional to the amount. Guest guest
Jay, My mistake. I got the AB from Vitaminshoppe.com I guess. The luckyvitamin price is a lot better. Please post if you try the Enterprises Raw Thyroid. Compare the inactive ingredients in the American Biologics to the Enterprises, and see what you think. I should give the Nutrimeds Thyroid a look. But for some reason I can't find it through Google tonight. sol thisismyemailprofile wrote: > Couldn't find AB at iherb but luckyvitamin has it for $20.80. Guest guest
Sol - when you started with the AB, how did you determine how to start dosing? Thanks! Guest guest
Abby, I used the dosing info at STTM. sol smylze111 wrote: > Sol - when you started with the AB, how did you determine how to start > dosing? >
