Are you on any adrenal meds? Did you fast salt for 48 hours before testing? What thyroid meds (if any) are you on? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
This was done at 8 a.m., and I was fasting, although my CFS MD did not want me to salt fast. I was on salt at the time of the test. The only adrenal stuff I was on was an adrenal glandular. I do not take thyroid meds. > > ACTH 30 10-60 pg/mL > Aldosterone <4.0 <=21ng/dL > Cortisol 20.8 4.3-22.4 mcg/dL > Free T4 0.99 0.75-1.80 NG/DL > Free T3 3.5 2.3-4.2 pg/mL > TSH 1.19 0.47-5.01 UIU/ML > > What time of day was this done? The Aldosterone is not conclusive as oyu did not fast salt. It is expected to be low when you have enough sodium in your body, so you need to see how HIGH it can go when you need salt. Being on an adrenal glandular pretty much screws the ACTH adn cortisl results as if it contains hormone sit will lower ACTH adn cortisol will be inconclusive. So my only conclusions from these tests would be that your cortisll is still too low and oyu need better adrenal support to utilize thyroid properly and you proabbyl need thyroid as well as your T4 is very low. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Thanks Val, I appreciate you taking the time to look at these numbers. My CFS MD wanted to see how I was aldosterone-wise WITH the salt. When I see her in April, I'll ask her if we can re-test the aldosterone, without salt. Would the T3 / T4 look different since I've started the HC? The adrenal glandular I'm taking is MilAdregen. > Well the thyroid does not look right at all, way too low T4 compared to your T3 whihc usually indicates LOW cortisol. Guest guest
Yes the T3 should go down when you add cortisol to the picture but that will not raise your T4, ponly lower it further but then your next labs should show the hypo I am sure you are feeling and then you should be able to start Armour. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
