I have found that sugar craving is intense on Armour or thyroid S .....I

keep hoping that tomorrow I won't think about sugar. It really is

different. Have liked sugar but never this much. Why does this happen?

I see several posts stating the same thing.

Over the last 2 days I went overboard on candy apples and chocolate and

now I'm super tired and foggy brained really bad. What can I do???

If you are on adrenal meds and have the cravings does it mean you need

more adrenals?

-Are you on adrenal support? Adrenals regulate sugar and taking

thyroid treatment can stress adrenal function. Just a thought.

I also find if I take my minerals like chromium cravings are less..and

treat candida...taking probiotics and antifungals really elminated the

sugar cravings. Just more ideas...

I am on Adrenal support...did that before adding in Armour. Tried T3 also.

Felt good on it but things changed as time went by on that.....so I began

adding in Armour. There is a huge difference in that sugar craving ...

didn't have it on T3 but I began to have bowel problems. That stopped now

the sugar craving.

I will walk more as suggested and take chromium.....kinda forgot

that. I take a multi mineral regularly.

Thanks all,

Any more suggesstions for hypoglycemia Val??

I borrowed a glucometer over the weekend - it explained why I have felt

bad... My blood sugar drops to the 60s very easily. At this point it

appears just to be hypolycemia - I haven't experienced any excessively

high readings.

Yes eat often small meals and avoiud carbs as much as you can. High

protein and high fat wil stick with you better. Raising cortils should

also help this as well.

I'm two weeks into increasing my Armour from 2 grains to 2.5 grains -

no problems. I have held my Isocort at 4-4-3-2 while doing so. I have

prednisone tabs - you suggested going to 5mg am, 2.5mg at noon - when

do you think I should try to switch over to the Prednisone from the

Isocort? Hate to change to many things at once time...

Using concentrated whey will also help incredibly with sugar cravings - it

is only 90 calories and 23 grms of protein - keeps you Blood Sugar more

level and stops the lows which just make you want even more

sugar...especially helpful with diabetes...
