Yes i have tried 3-4 times to contact them and its been more than 2 weeks since my first order. Im just curious about these people, if they are reliable, and if anybody else who has ordered from them hasnt received there order,ect. Probably have to hunt up an English speaking rep! I was worried for the fact that they never returned my e-mails and its been like 3 weeks. Just being a nervous nelly, and the adrenal situation doesnt help! But it looks like i actually got Prednisone, i thought i was getting mexican Cortef. I looked and i guess they only sell Prednisone. I got the 20mg tabs. You recommended 5mg of Cortef in the morning and 2.5mg in the afternoon for me. Would this be the same for Prednisone? What is the difference between Cortef and Prednisone? Im doing another ZRT labs adrenal function test today because i want to see where my Cortisol levels stand currently, as im not on any other medication for hairloss, thyroid,ect, and i WAS on medication last time i tested my adrenals in January. I just cant win can i? The website said Corticosteroids and i figured it was Cortef. It didnt say it was Prednisone for gods sakes. All i want is some damn Cortef already this is extremely frustrating! Well looks like i'll be waiting another month for some Cortef, just great. Guest guest Posted March 28, 2008 Report Share Posted March 28, 2008 5mg Pred equals 20mg HC. It is alot stronger. I would try to tkae 1/8 tab to start that would be a nibble off a 1/4 tab! Should i try and order Cortef and switch or just stay on the Pred? Also, im getting tired after im eating, for example i had some chicken fingers, a small bread roll, and a bit of greek pasta salad, and im so exausted and tired right after i could go to sleep. Then 15 minutes later i got a headache. What is this exactly? Is this insulin resistance or something? Is the adrenals or thyroid causing this? Thanks Val. Sometime i do get tired after a big meal, and this is normal, but it seems like its happeneing worse now. I think due to my adrenals or thyroid,ect, i am suffering from some insulin resistance possibly. I did a bioavailable Testosterone test a few days after that large list of bloodwork i did on Nov/30/07, and my bioavailable testosterone came back high. My Estradiol was also high normal. I know that high insulin, can lower SHBG, and increase IGF-1,ect. I just sent my second Adrenal Stress profile back to ZRT labs, along with a Progesterone and IGF-1 blood spot test, to see whats currently going on, and will report those results back to you when i get them soon. But a question about the Pred, is this a differet type of Cortisol that our body makes? From what i understand Cortef contains Cortisol that our body makes, but i dont know about the Pred. Just wondering again if one would be more effective than the other for this possible reason. Also, day 2 on the Pred, im still fatigued in the morning and i can see my face is holding obvious water, but in the evening my fatigue gets better and my face doesnt look like its holding as much water as the morning/afternoon. After one month on the Pred, i should get my free T3/T4 levels tested again right? Because being on the Pred will get Cortisol into my body and might unmask possible lowered thyroid hormones? Sorry for the questions Val, ive been doing a lot of research on this stuff aswell, thats how i got directed to this site ( thank god! ), as ive been forced to be my own doctor, and im just curious. Could also be fluid balance changing and sea salt may help.
