Guest guest
I want to thank you for your recommendation to up the probiotics for my chronic diarhea. Worked like a charm! Just wondering....can one overdose on probiotics or digestive enzymes? I've been taking them by the handful now that I see they actually WORKED LOL Also, can you mix brands? Mercola says to take the ones with sporalones (sp?) and mine don't have those. But thought I'd order them and take with mine...the refrigerated type. I'm getting ready to go on a 3-week trip and do not want to travel with the refrig. type due to hassle Thanks Naffy

Guest guest
I NEVER get stomach pain...even when my diarhea is at its worst...I'm pain free. So I cannot help you there. But lay-down-on- the-floor pain is a big reaction, and I would go off them for a few days to see. naffy > > > I want to thank you for your recommendation to up the probiotics for > > my chronic diarhea. Guest guest
I have never heard of anyone ODing on probiotics, I've known people to take upwards of a whole bottle in a day with a stomach virus....we even give them to my young grandchildren, especially if they take antibiotics for any reason...which we try to avoid.... you can still take the refrigerated ones if they aren't refrigerated, they just don't maintain their strength as long when not refrigerated. Heat kills the bacteria, and it would do it with any brand. I take and sell Bifidolphus Flora Force by Nature's Sunshine, I use the Super Space Sprinkles for my grandkids, they're designed by Dr. , I believe. I took Allegheny Nutrition's digestive enzymes for a year, but switched to Nature's Sunshine's Food Enzymes and I've found it works better for me, it has HCI in it, as well as pancreatic enzymes, and the Allegheny were just vegetable based.... I used to have constipation, heartburn, indigestion, acid stomach, diverticulitis, etc., now I have none of those issues...for the first time in my life, and it's great. You should be having 2 to 3 bowel movements a day, the size and consistency of a ripe banana, it's best to have one after each meal, within less than an hour or so....food in, food out...you know what I mean? Your transit time can be checked by eating corn without chewing well and timing when you see it again.....ideal is 18 hours.....that may be a good goal for you, to keep up with the enzymes and probiotics until your transit time is under control....
