Should I freeze saliva tests?

Hi everyone,

I am taking saliva tests for the first time, and I have heard this

group talking about the importance of overnight fedex'ing it for

greater accuracy of the tests. But, my collection day falls on a Friday

or Saturday, so either way it will be sitting for a day, even if I use

overnight mail. Should I freeze the tubes and then send them off on

Monday instead? Will freezing them affect the results? Thank you so

I think you should collect on Monday rather than Friday or Saturday,

and fed-ex on Tuesday. Each saliva sample should be put in the freezer

immediately after collection, and mailed frozen in the styrofoam

package with the ice pack. I think samples MUST be frozen.
