Guest guest
Terri, Where did you buy Sweet Ease and what's in it? I must have missed this thread. I've been having night sweats, but usually just take another Isocort tablet if they wake me up. Thanks,
Guest guest
Does the Isocort stop it? I buy Sweet Ease from Banyan Botanicals. I think they sell retail, too. It's banyanbotanicals.com . I sell it at my store, usually to those with diabetic or hypoglycemic issues to regulate the sugar/insulin balance... Guest guest
Not for me. It took estrogen replacement. Darla > > Does the Isocort stop it?
Guest guest
For me, the Isocort stops it within about 15 to 20 minutes. I think my cortisol levels are still really low at night though.
Guest guest
When you took estrogen replacement, how did you know that you were either high or low? I got my Total Estrogen done, but it only gives a number and then the different ranges during the times of month. And what time of the month did you do it for-my doctor never said WHEN to take it and I didn't think to ask? Did you do bioidenticals? My doctor put me on 300mg of progesterone, 3mg of Estradiol, and 1mg of testosterone to begin with and I feel like I'm on PMS for a whole month-my face is starting to swell and so is around my tummy-had dreams about being pregnant and turns out that too much progestrone may be the problem because it's related to morning sickness? I'm also on Cortef and I think it's messing with that,too-the reason for the swelling in the face as well-I'm all out of balance. Guest guest
Hi Sheila, I am menopausal so I used that range on the test. Maybe someone else could help you with other ranges on the test. Yes, I use a bioidentical estradiol gel 4mg every day. It has helped me a lot. I think you may be taking too much progesterone too. It did that to me on a much samller dose. You may want to back off that for a bit. Some people can take that much and some can't. If you are still having cycles I do not think you are to take progesterone every day. How much Cortef are you taking and how are you dosing it throughout the day? Darla > > > > > > Does the Isocort stop it? > > >
Guest guest
Darla, Thank you for helping. I agree, I think I'm on too much progesterone, too-always feeling sick to my stomach; I don't see the doctor until after next week so I guess I have to suffer until then. I'm taking 10, 10, and then 5 of the Cortef. Someone told me that Cortef can have water retention problems so I was considering taking Medrol? Guest guest
Shelia, Is your doc going to run tests week after next to see where you are on the hormones? Can you call the office and talk to a nurse or just lower them a little yourself? You might be on too much estrogen too. It made me feel sick to my stomach when mine was too high. I just backed off it a little and I was fine. You might want to reduce one thing at a time so you will know which one it is. Darla > > Darla, > Thank you for helping. Guest guest
He supposedly put me on the lowest possible dosages of each, but I don't believe that for the progesterone. I had to ramp up very slowly when I first started, one pill every other day, for a week, then two pills every day so I'm nervous about doing anything myself. His office is almost two hours away, so by the time he would write a new script and mail it to me I would be at his office by then. I guess I really should call and see what to do-been pregnant three times already in my life and that was more than enough morning sickness for me LOL!
