Guest guest
Following is labs on 1/21/08 > TSH..1.23....0.40-580 > FT4..1.0....0.6-1.2 > FT3..2.8....2.4-3.9 pg/mL > rT3..256...90-350 pg/mL He went to his regular VA doc March 24, told him about the above labs and that he is on T3 to get rid of the RT3 and explained to him why we thought caused it. Well he ordered another Thyroid test with the following numbers, however these labs do not have FT3 or RT3 on their charts so they could not be ordered. I ordered them thru his outside provider, have not got those yet, hopefully tomorrow. Anyway here is what I got for the moment: TSH_____0.17_____.27-4.2 T4______0.8______.71-1.85 TOTAL T3____1.77_____0.60-1.81 What do you think Val from what little I gave you. He is not on anything but the T3 for thyroid, taking 37.5 mcg at the moment, started on it about Valentines Day

It is also not supressing his T4 enough. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ > Got his T3 and rT3 results: T3____3.8______2.4-3.9pg/mL rT3____84______90-350pg/mL That is really bringing rT3 down on only 37.5mcg T3, what is the ratio about 45% now. I got the doc to order him 30mg Armour Thyroid to start with is that about right Val? How do you want me to get him to taper from T3 to Armour??? He is on 17.5 HC right now, hoping he will up to 20mg again, but he dropped it cause his BP went up some, any suggestions on this also

I am open for suggestions. He is so pleased about all of this. He takes 12.5 three times a day....

He is so happy about this, he has wanted on Armour cause he knows it will help his cholesterol. The VA doc had him on too much for too long and caused him major problems with muscle weakness, his CPK is still too high.

Sorry I am so dense, but I have to make sure to do this correctly. Thanks Val
