I know exactly what you're talking about!!

I have this feeling too, for about a week.

I take isocort 4 at morning & 3 at lunch (currently on no thyroid meds).

At the evening the feeling usually subsides and I'm better.

Anyhow, I did not have it last week.

Therefore I will tell you why I think that is.

I believe this is related to fluctuating cortisol levels.

Last week I took every morning my custom-made blend of herbal tea.

I put in licorice, siberian ginseng and ginkgo biloba. I buy the plants, it's

very cheap that way. (pills are expensive).

I believe one of them or all of them are helpful.

Ginkgo biloba is supposed to help concentration and therefore may have helped

the situation (dizziness). Licorice slows down breakdown of cortisol and perhaps

allows smoother levels of cortisol throughout the day.

One caution with the licorice:

I find that taking too much has side effects.

If you take too much you won't be able to fall asleep (cortisol will stay high).

And when you do you will go to the bathroom a few times every night.

Therefore if you decide to try it - not half teaspoon, not even 1/4 teaspoon,

start with about 1/8 teaspoon every morning (ONLY MORNING!!!) for a few days and

see how it goes. My licorice is dried and powdered. Make sure you don't take DGL

(licorice without glycerrhizin).

Another thing,

My intention is to try prednisone to keep my cortisol levels more even.

People say that the " continuous " cortisol levels given by longer-acting steroids

help them feel better. But I haven't tried that yet.

I guess you have enough things to try for the next few weeks. ;)

Good luck

Shauli
