Guest guest
Val, I reduced the HC back to 25mg a week or more ago. My temps were doing good at a avg of 98.3-98.5. Yesterday I raised my thyroid by 1/2gr. Today my temps have really dropped. Does this mean that I need more HC? Gale
Guest guest
I would give the thyruid increase at least 3 days for your body to adjust to it before raising HC, but if oyur tmep doesn;t bounce back after 3 days, yes, more HC. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
This is typical in adrenal stress. I would stil give it at least 3 days to bounce back up befoer taking more HC., -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Gale, my regular pattern after raising Armour for several raises was that my temps would drop the day after and then spike for a day or so and then settle down, assuming that I was on enough HC which has always been a bit of a ? for me. 1/2 grain is a big increase (at least for me) but my advice would be to see if you can hold it for another day or two to see if the temps average out. > > Val, > > I reduced the HC back to 25mg a week or more ago. Guest guest
Thanks for that . My temp has continued to drop throughout the day. I will give it another couple of days. My temps were very stable, I hope that I can manage to not have to raise the HC. As far as the 1/2 gr increase. For you, on a low dose that would be a 25% increase if you are on say 2gr. For me at 7gr it is a much smaller increase, something like 7-8% of my actual dose. I have never had a thyroid dump while on Armour, my body just does not use the Armour at all. Anytime that I increase my dosage the first morning my BP goes down to normal from the high BP that I have been experiencing for months now. By the afternoon of the day of my increase is as if my body has forgotten that it is getting a better amount of thyroid hormone & returns to hypo state. Guest guest
Thanks Val, I will wait it out. It sure was strange to see the temps drop like that. I now know that I should have been tracking my temps a year & 1/2 ago. Why am I so hard headed???
