She takes 125 micrograms levothyroxine and Euthyrox 125 per day. <<

Those are both the same T4 only meds. She needs osme T3! She is not converting

well enough and getting that T3 up to 5 or so would make the cholesterol come

down.

Ok thanks I'll tell her. Do you know of what the equivalent to Armour

would be in Europe by any chance? Or do they sell Armour there?

Armour, Naturethroid or Thyroid-s Any of these I would recommend but I

do nto know what is available where she is. Most places can get Armour

IF their doctor is willing. If all else fails she could add T3 to the T4

meds she is taking and it owuld be better than none!

Armour is easily available in many Belgian pharmacies, and there are

many thyroid literate doctors in Belgium, many trained by Thierry

Hertoghe. She wouldn't have to look too far or too hard to find one

Thanks Val. Ok, so if she can't get her doc to give her armour, how

would she " just add T3 " ? Can you buy that separately or OTC(assuming

not)? Or would it be a different medication?
