Guest guest
it was 32 (10-140) about 3 months ago before starting hc and armour but i have had excruciatingly heavy periods with the hypo and suspect it hasn't gotten any better. i have read it should be between 70-90 and from your post just looked up the relationship between it and hair loss too so ty. as silly as it sounds i need some encouragement to take iron supplementation. i got over the worried hump with all the so called negatives of steroid treatment in taking the hc and now worry about side effects with iron, though i know i need it...so any stories of how it's helped vs all horrible side effects i've read online would be appreciated! > > val...i'm losing MORE hair than i was before starting hc and > > armour...it's falling out big time and i'm wondering if this is a > > result of overstressing the adrenals possibly? > > >
Guest guest
My ferritin is 141, and my hair was so thin at one point I looked like a chemo patient. (eyebrows are sparse too) Both finally started growing back when I did both adrenal support and raised my thyroid. I think it was the adrenal support that allows the thyroid to the cells, that really made the difference. You will get there, it just takes time, and LOTS of patience. Guest guest
Low cortisoll seems ot be a trigger for hairloss even more than hypo, btu one major one is low Ferritin. Have you had this checked recently? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
I agree with this. From my experience I can go " hyper " on even a moderate dose of thyroid when my cortisol is too low. And my hair loss will increase. I would lower thyroid a bit and see if this makes a diff with the hair loss. Also track your temps and bp/hr regularly thru the day to see if you can spot low cortisol. -AG http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/growhair/ > Posted by: " " artisticgroomer@... valharly > Fri Mar 7, 2008 2:05 am (PST) > > Low cortisoll seems ot be a trigger for hairloss even more than hypo, > btu one major one is low Ferritin.
