Guest guest
Bonnie, did you say how and why I get my implant? Well yes I have trouble making decision if I want it or not like poor lack of decide to say yes or no. my good left ear have been going down slowly around 97. I have trouble understand speech with group of people and hearing on the phone sometime it depend what kind of phone I used like some phone speakers are bad and other are not. I remember around like 98 or 99 I bump my head pretty hard it cause my left hearing ringing like crazy last ten or fifteen minutes I don't know why. other time my ear ring last for two months then back to normal. so I went to audiologist to have tested so they notice my hearing was going down and suggested if I should get implant before my hearing gone complete deaf. well that's a very difficult decision because it not going to be perfect and I kept hearing deaf people decline having implant also it will not be normal hearing. my sisters suggested that I should get one yeah but I hate to say no to them so I said yes. the doctor also try on my right ear with little sharp needle direct to the eardrum so I can hear the vibrate but it did not work because my ear couldn't pick up any sound from vibrate to the nerves I only hear high frequently on my ear so they leave it alone. I'm still wearing hearing aid on my right ear to help balance sound with my left ear. so when I get a surgery on my left then try sprint or 3G sprint cochlear implant, oh I hate it because it so high pitch I'm not used to it and it sound like unnatural around me. so my second surgery from last June to have freedom and yes I feel little better I can hear both high and low frequency but sometime I have trouble understand speech. I think we change it because the doctor and audiologists thought maybe device implant inside my coclear was broken and we haven't heard from them so far if the device broken or not. sadly my left ear going down and my right ear stay the same ever since. I know I had to let it go because sometime I do missed my own hearing. Michele s. Re: Not hearing Call phone... what options do I have?
