Guest guest
I like it! Count me in. They aren't the same ladies that play the stock market, are they? Maybe we should be the " Green Hats " , as I'm trying to plan an estate-with the " estate " part nowhere to be found. LOL. in Ma. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

Guest guest
Well, I definitely lost it on that one! Thank goodness I'd already swallowed that gulp of coffee. Thanks for reminding me to be thankful for what does still work. ;-) in Ma. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
This is terrible. My mom has a plug to keep her uterus from falling out...does that count? I think we're in weawwy weawwy big twouble. And yes , you should at least qualify for a Sunday afternoon row about. ;-) from you know where......out here somewhere. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
Yes! I vote for yachts and Studleys too! And somebody remember, if we can't find the bail bucket- look for . I thought it was good when the kids headed off to school, but this is the best Monday morning I've ever had! ;-) ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
Yep, As they said in " Jaws " while peering into their future reflected off the shark's pearly whites- " Huh.......We're gonna to need a bigger boat " . , Cathie, , and I bet there's more coming-the " I don't wanna be 50's " crowd. . Michele, you have to stay on shore and write out our itinerary so we remember what it is we wanted to do. I'll be lookout (distance vision is still working) as I'll be tied to the mast as " Maximum Queen of the Elders " , (I should get something out of this dumb position). 's got paper products covered... Casey has to keep the birth certificates in order... Pam'll organize " group therapy " ....bring playing cards. Meg brings the hats.... Maybe for navigation, we'll do what we do-hoist the sails, and see where it takes us. Michele found a goody this morning that fits right in: _http://www.salon.com/june97/columnists/lamott2970605.html_ (http://www.salon.com/june97/columnists/lamott2970605.html) It reminds me so of 's conversation with that stranger in the mirror. Another classic. When 30 yr olds look like they must be in their 20's....you KNOW.....head for the pier! ;-) ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
Guys- - I haven't been taking time to answer anything in the past few days - but you're cracking me up!! First, I was awed by the profundity (that's the descriptor from the root " profound " right?? I mean, I know " profoundness " can't be right!) of 's original post. I couldn't think of a suitably profound reply so I hesitated. Then began the silly thread on age. I'm 43 so getting right up there towards the 50 mark. Some days it feels like its right around the next corner. Other days, I can't believe 43 really describes me. Heck - what happened to the 20-something I vaguely remember living in my skin? Where'd she go? When did she leave? And who took her place? I definitely know I'm not young anymore because I can see the huge chasm between me and my son's teen friends. But last time I paid attention, I was them. Now I'm just not. How did that happen? Anyhoo- thanks for the opening to thoughts of our vulnerabilities and need for self-care and awareness. And then thanks for tempering that huge topic with lighthearted thoughts on aging. Michele W
Guest guest
Oh Dear, Oh Dear, I started this.. and yep I do get to wear a red hat (as long as it isn't as ugly as the one Queen wore the other day) I'm 51. AARP sent me my first 'invite' at the ripe young age 46 when they sent Dave's. We're gonna have to get a bigger boat, gets to board too. We keep this up and we'll have to get a yacht (preferably with a studly looking crew. and we'll watch them bail) Casey ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Expecting?
