Guest guest
O.K. I must chime in on this one. I am 40 but feel like 50 some days (the days I can't stand up straight due to lower back pain). I also have the sneeze issue, but only when it is a big one. ;-) I think that means I qualify!? , Randy & Garland (5 1/2 yrs.) Guest guest
Oh, there is no hope for me.....God and myself love my mother, God Rest Her Soul. My tiny, always a lady mother unforunatly suffered from dementia is the last couple years of her life. My brother was visiting and playing cards with her. He had won all her nickles in 31. She very seriously pointed her finger at him like a gun and imformed him that she was going to " shoot his balls off.. " There's nothing to lady like about me now so I'm afraid I may end up gagged, bound and stuffed into a closet somewhere in my REALLY old age..... > > > > > > > > Maybe we need to start our own CHARGE chapter of the Red Hat > > Society! > > > > Meg > > > > (also >50) > > > > > > > > OK, Time for a show of birth certificates. > > > > .... Guest guest
Casey, Tell the darling boy that he will qualify for ³studly² and if he doesn¹t play his cards right, he will be joining us for the navigation! Guest guest
Hi, all, First, I've been sitting around today, contemplating with absolute horror a pending trip tomorrow to my cardiologist when I spied this thread along with Fuzzy Bear though I've somehow deleted the first posts for both --- remain nervous (oh, this age thing is awful when the dr. lurks..) but with big grins at many moments. Sounds like we're going to have quite a party of us. Good. I definitely want to party soon! Martha

Guest guest
What a wonderful thread! Affirming, disarming, engaging, healing and charming..... 2003 was a phenomenally challenging year for me, and I took to noticing that I felt older than the hills - I could not imagine feeling any older ever, only perhaps more feeble and more physical discomfort......I was 41 at the time. Now I am 45 and have reconnected to the flow, the balance, the gratitude and the " what is " -ness - and I feel timeless - as timeless as the universe itself. (Not as in a timeless classic :oP) Four years ago I would have thought myself to be among the " eldest " disregarding chronological age. I felt as though the weariness, the grief, and the fear submerged me that year. Now I savor the fruits borne from that time - it was fodder for deeper joy - breaking apart my illusions and constructs to have me ever more present. *whew* yuka May God break my heart so completely that the whole world falls in. -Mother RE: Re: Dear Fuzzy Brain (vulnerabilities) > > hahaha, > > this is funny, Ladies. Guest guest
I missed the first part of this thread but you guys are too funny. I think I qualify for the boat. I have just turned 40 (April 1st), had a full hysterectomy (April 4th) and became a Grandma (May 1st) I think the age thing is coming fast and hard here. After listening to all of you, I will have to wonder what will be left of me when I hit 50! Sheryl Mom to Jess
Guest guest
I have to agree this is one of the funniest things I have read on here and as I read " do you pee when you sneeze? Guest guest
> May God break my heart so completely that the whole world falls in. > -Mother > Yuka, I love that. A few words that can mean so many things. With age I've learned to seperate what's really important and what I only imagine to be important. Standing still and gazing out the window can now be the important moment for me. The world goes on and life continues to thrive. Laughter feels good. I love and am loved. Guest guest
Pamela- Hehehe-Make me an offer! I'll go back to lying about my age-no worries. This is a rather dubious distinction anyway, n'est pas? I'll pay you...deal???? ----- >>this is truly beautiful and I am feeling a bit melancholy about it, <<< --- Me too. It almost needs it's very own new morning, a fresh, clean dawn for contemplation. Guest guest
Martha, Okay girl, take a big breath and let it out slowly. It is a scary thing until you get a dx of what exactly is wrong. As a surviver of open heart I can tell you that the worst part is going to be the unknown and waiting. But know this, procedures are so advanced now that it's not the same as years ago. There is so much they can control with medication. To be honest, I know I'll be going back in again sometime in the next couple of years to replace my pulmonary valve again. After going through it once already I'm not stressed this time around. If you want to talk send me your phone # by email and I will call you. Also on WebMD there is a support group for heart problems. The one with I believe her name is who is a cardiac Intensive Care Nurse. It's were I went for advice and support before my first surgery. Just a wonderful and knowlegable group of people. We'll all be there with you in spirit tomorrow. Write any questions you have down before going. Don't be afraid to be proactive in your own condition and solutions. Is someone going with you? That was a big help to me made me feel less intimedated by the professionals. mom to 31 artthrob@... > > Hi, all, > First, I've been sitting around today, contemplating with absolute horror a > pending trip tomorrow to my cardiologist when I spied this thread along > with Fuzzy Bear though I've somehow deleted the first posts for both --- > remain nervous (oh, this age thing is awful when the dr. lurks..) but with > big grins at many moments. > Sounds like we're going to have quite a party of us.
