Guest guest
Sol, Orthotics are much better than any regular insole. They are CUSTOM-MADE for the INDIVIDUAL by an orthotic specialist. I know in my case one leg is like 1/4 inch shorter than the other. So no regular insoles work to prevent pain. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthotics http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthotics> Lynn > > My second child has flat feet, so I got her arch supports and it has > > helped her tremendously. Guest guest
I got the birkenstock inserts on advice of a few people who had the custom orthotics and spent hundreds on them, and the custom did not work. So on their advice I tried the birkies first, thinking I'd go ahead to custom orthotics if needed, but I didn't have to. FWIW, I don't have a shorter leg though (my dad did, and I know the problems it can casue). So maybe that is why they worked for me, as I didn't have that to compensate for. sol lynnkrt2 wrote: > Sol, > > Orthotics are much better than any regular insole.
