Reply-To: NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS Sorry for the late reply Olif but I am having major problems at home. Olif my dear..I have taken a Xanax to sleep for thirty years. Why? Because my night time cortisol was elevated. My morning cortisol was almost none existent.I lived for many years (30) like this because of ignorant doctor's. They wrote out Xanax like it was candy..for anxiety/ sleeplessness...ditto Prednisone after I became sick with my lungs in 1991.After they had me almost dead...years later on prednisone and such....they did 24 hour urine test for cortisol which was absolutely worthless because my cortisol was so low in mornings and so elevated at night it all evened out to " normal " ..mind you these tests were never done until I found the STTM site and started insisting on testing, lol. At age sixty four(64) I found my problem when someone sent a little link to StopTheThyroidMadness.com on a health letter I was on. All normal!!.. cortisol normal...thyroid was 3.84 but normal according to the labs.so doctor looked at my fat/bloated fluid filled body and said all is normal! OMG!! Look at me doctor!! Bp through the roof and has been for almost eleven years..on 4 BP pills and fluid pills and BP will not drop to normal...my BP has not been below 158/85 in eleven years.Mostly higher so stop worrying about BP killing you, lol.Just concentrate on getting well.Worrying about BP is NOT helping your cortisol level By the way my BP when I was younger was always low..90/60 and my doctor told me I would live a longgg life, lol. I am dying with my kidneys/left kidney has left the building so to speak .....because of ignorant doctor's(our arteries close because of thyroid not getting into our cells) but mainly they have ruined my life and kept me sick.It makes me sick to see the younger women and guys come on here searching for help..with ignorant doctor's not knowing what they are doing! This is sick and we should all be writing to our state medical boards and AMA and media about these doctor's! This has to stop somewhere! Let it be with us!! I am self treating my daughter and my grandaughter.Do not let these doctor's and labs and pharm. companies keep getting away with this.Write to your local paper...to anyone!! As you get better (and you will) and feel like doing so ..write to everyone..especially the news shows! If you have a doctor that will listen please help them understand what is going on out here.It really begins and ends with our doctor's ..they must understand they are being taught by Pharm. companies not doctor's and they are killing us out here.... My adrenals were so bad Olif I was in adrenal failure when I found this site.Almost dead. Was getting IV's of iron my adrenals/thyroid was so bad.Doctor's did NOT HAVE A CLUE! Any doctor's on this board?... .READ MY LIPS!! They are still moving...you didn't get me yet...lol I nibbled along on HC all morning after my dose of 10 mg. just to keep me alive. Can we say shaky? HC will not hurt you it will heal you. Thank you all and God bless each of you.I love you all and pray for you. ===================================================== ============================================================= > Does anyone have a good article or link to info (not too technical or > long to read)on adrenal fatigue; symptoms of, related conditions, help > for.
