Guest guest
I've just found out my thyroid peroxidase antibodies are high: TPO AB 559 IU/mL [0-34] Ref. (The Antithyroglobulin AB was normal.) So if I raise my cortisol levels, will that bring down the TPO antibody levels? What is the relation between the two? Guest guest
No, there isn't a relationship between the two that I know of. The antibodies are your body attacking your thyroid and indicates Hashimotos. To lower the antibodies, you will need to get your thyroid supressed as much as possible. The more thyroid hormone it makes, the more antibodies will be produced to attack the gland. Optimally, you would want your TSH to be as close to .01 as possible without going hyper. At least this is my understanding. Rie A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
