Hey guys,

I'm back from a job interview at Target. My job developer was

late, so I went ahead and did the 1st part of the interview, but he

did helped me, intepreted for me for the 2nd part of the interview,

cool man! The interview went well, the only drawback here is that I

would have to start working early in the morning like my friend is

doing, around 6am, lol! He told me if I tried a closer Target to my

home, I told him that I did applied for Target in my hometown, and 2

in Pasadena, right? But, they never called back for an interview,

sigh! Great!

Then, my job developer and I went to Pet Depot (remember I went

there by myself a week ago?) to talk to the manager. Well somehow

and unfortunaly, i got confused, some misunderstanding from my last

unexpected interview with the manager about some stuff. 1st, I

thought that when you get a job, you're suppose to work part time

1st, right? Then later on, after you get the hang of it, they start

making you work full time! Well, the manager said that the groomer

wanted someone to work full time, so that's one of my mistakes. Then,

somehow I opened my big mouth about bus issues, she's afraid that I

would arrive work late if I miss the bus, right? Great, that's

another mistake I made! Randall told me I should never metion

anything about the buses, he said I should of keep it closed ya

know.

Sigh, here's the part I don't like about my physical limintations,

it strikes back again! She said that, they need someone to do dogs

all sizes, big and small! I told her I would need to help to carry

big dogs, right? Well, she said that the groomer would be too busy,

and I would have to drag a large dog to the tub, right? And also, I

would have to handle and not be afraid/nervous around aggressive

dogs! Dang man, reality sucks doesn't it? It's like as 'Charge

Syndrome' and/or 'Growth Hormone Defiency' once again slapped me and

blocked me from doing something I want!

Well, Randall told me that I shouldn't had that earlier interview

by myself without him. He said next time, he have to go with me to

make sure I understand everything well, right? Sigh! I don't think

I'm gonna get a job at Pet Depot, I was so close! I guess I

shouldn't metion the bus issues, my physical limintations (that I

could only lift and handle under 20 lbs), right? Sigh, no offense

guys (even you CHARGErs), but sometime I wish I'm more 'normal' and

more 'capable' of doing stuff without having some physical

problems. It's like I want to have big muscles, be taller, be able

to drive, be like everyone ya know. Let's hope that Target in La

Verne will hire me, even if it's early in the morning (I'm used of

getting up early, I can get up even earlier if I have to go to work).

At Pet Depot, I didn't metion about the Charge Conference I'm

planning on going, or visiting , cuz the groomer wouldn't hire

me. Oh Yeah, she wanted me to work fast pace, like up to 20 dogs a

day! I told her I could do only between 5-10 dogs a day. But, I did

tell her I can try to do more than 10 if she wanted me to, right?

Fast pace, I might get easily worn out ya know.

Oh Well, reality once again strike back while rearing it's ugly

head at me, lol! Sigh! I wish there would be a perfect job out there

for me, that won't give me any physical problems. By the way, my eye

doctor does know the manager of PetCo West Covina, cuz that is his

patient! He said that he'll introduce me to her, and I could bring

my resume and certficates for her. Cool man! Wish me luck, have a

nice day!

P.S. I remembered I had a job at Doggy Time before my b'day, I'm

hoping that I'll get a job before my b'day on Saturday, right?

Target will let me know like next week, let's keep our fingers

crossed!

Chip-

Sorry to hear about the frustrations. We can all relate to that crummy

feeling with reality stops you from what you want. You have to reveal your

physical limitations, I think, during the interview process because you

can't misrepresent your ability to do the job being asked of you. If you

didn't say anything about your limitations, then got hired, that first day

would be pretty uncomfortable when you are asked to do something and have to

say, " I can't " .

But I agree that transportation issues can be left quiet - no need for the

employer to worry about that. Then you just have to be darn sure that you

make that bus every day! Even people with cars have issues sometimes when

there is a dead battery or flat tire or traffic jams that make them late

sometimes. So a very rare bus issue would be the same as a rare car issue.

I hope one of these leads gets you a good job. And, in case I miss it on

Saturday, have a great day!
