Val, this is the response I got from the Ped Endo facility at our

local university hosptial.

" we do not use Armour thyroid. we are familiar with cortisol drugs. We

would evaluate addison with a 24 hour urine collection for free

cortisol. your pediatrician can refer your child to our group "

Does this mean..don't waste my time..they will be of no help??

He didn't mention anything about ACTH or blood cortisol..or the fact

that I told him what her saliva test results were and that this did

not appear to fit disease...

Advise??

I think they woud be a waste of time and money. They are looking for

outright 's an probably have no clue about the many stages of

insufficiency before they get there that are just as hard to live with.

OK, that is what I thought! Since I had not heard of using that test

for any significance...and what the hooey..she already has the saliva

panel and no one seems to take seriously. Grrr...I swear some of these

people go to the college of stupidity and arrogance.
