Guest guest
I know at the regal and marcus theaters there is wheelchair seating in the middle and I think its perfect, we sat there once and all the kids saw everything very well. What movie are you doing to see?? Have a great time. Guest guest
In our theatres, the wheelchair seating is about 3 -4 rows from the front and it's near the middle so it's really great. With Kennedy, she can sit almost anywhere and she's okay. She likes to sit " at the top, mama! " at the highest row in the back. We just let her pick. She has to turn her hearing aid down at the movies; she finds it too loud (the music/background noise) but then she misses some of what they say sometimes and I spend part of the time interpreting. Why can't they just have CC at the movies?? Life would be so much easier if they did! > > We sit in the middle. Guest guest
Lis, We just saw Ratatouille on Friday. We sat in the highest row possible! Kendra loved it. Maybe this will be where we usually opt to sit in the future.. Interesting that it is Kennedy's fav spot! Regarding cc, many of our movie theatres now offer open captioning frequently during the week. For example, for many of the movies showing, there will be one or two times during the week that you can see it with open captions. Talking with the manager can help determine when movies you want to see will be presented in that format. It's really a wonderful improvement over no captioning, but it can be difficult to attend the one time when the show has captions. I would love to see all movies captioned, but it appears the public does not like the open caption mode. We've had some difficulty with rear view image captioning such as is available at some Disney attractions. I think they are working to improve the protocol. Do any of your movie theatres offer captioning? Guest guest
, that is so great. Unfortunately no, they don't offer any CC that I am aware of here in my city at all. I should at least bring it up to the manager of the big multiplex - I won't get anywhere if I don't at least ask. Kennedy made out so-so with the rearview captioning at Disney in January - I think it's the type of thing that she could become quite proficient at if she used it steadily as she is an excellent reader and LOVES CC. I am so excited to see you guys again at the conference and for you to finally meet Kennedy. I would like to get a picture of Kennedy & Kendra together if Kendra doesn't mind. > > Lis, > > We just saw Ratatouille on Friday. We sat in the highest row possible! > Kendra loved it. Guest guest
Oh, definitely, . Let's get a picture of Kennedy and Kendra together. We are so excited to have a chance to meet her and Mac and all the others who participate on the list. Guest guest
I'd love to figure a way to get a group shot of all the kids/adults with CHARGE - what a souvenir for Kennedy that would be (and for me too!)
